We are really paying the price now for terrible recruitment by SP and Waggott. There collective actions may relegate us despite 'top 6 budget'.

We have needed a solid GK, solid centre half, centre mid and two proper wingers all season. We've been left with a terrible back four for this level and a non existent centre mid. Their 'if in doubt, loan a striker' policy has left us very weak and unbalanced.

The players they got rid of to 'improve' the squad is laughable. Imagine how much easier this season would be had they not forced out Adams, Marshall & Baker?!

At the moment with current form relegation is looking more likely. FFS

Have great faith in Mowbray, but by Saturday night we could well be back in the bottom 4. We have been depending on the bottom 4 continuing to not pick up points lately, but on Saturday Colchester play Crawley and Yeovil play L Orient. Any wins there from those games and we could be in real, real trouble.

Bradford at home on Tuesday and Chesterfield away on Saturday are both going to be hard games. Both teams are only 2 points outside the play-offs.

In fact, our next 5 games are;

Bradford at home - 2 points off the top 6

Chesterfield away - 2 points off the top 6

Fleetwood away - 2 points off the top 6

Doncaster home - In top 6

Peterborough away - Level on points with Doncaster in 6th place.

Think the main problem is we went for names instead of players! so Pressley didn't sign bad players, just didn't sign the right players! Injuries to Pugh and Johnson cost him, Pugh got injured in the Cardiff game and never recovered from it! Think he tried to address the balance but by this time he still had to many players on the books!

What at needs to happen now is to get through the 12 games! We need to find a system that works for us with the addition of a cm and not playing players out of position!

Regarding the the players above, all would have made a difference, add Prutton to that list as well and add 2 or 3 of the signings and we would probably be ok!

We just just need to get through this, remember TM has had 2 days with them so far!!!

Waggott said on the radio he would resign, he should of gone with pressley. His decision making is a disgrace. Even if we don't go he needs to be replaced on the summer..what is he director of football??
I hold Waggott of being more accountable than his useless mate.

TM is going to need a miracle for us to stay up and if we do what then?
I think it's asking too much of any manager to save this shambles of a club!! Like someone said on another thread you can't polish a turd and until things change behind the scenes nothing is going to change...

He didn't sign the right players because he neglected to address the middle of the park, which has been an achilles heel all season long.

Probably seen enough already to start reaching for the big pills; or the door handle.

Thing is, that group is so tight most teams are in it! Our problem this season has been drawing rather than winning! If we had of done that we would be in that group! Regardless of there position we need to start winning our selves even if it looks unthinkable at the moment!
Need to start picking points up we do that confidence builds, fans need to be behind them at home!

And he had Prutton in the door as well, although not amazing would have helped loads and he's a leader!

Whoever oversaw this seasons player recruitment should never get a job anywhere near football management. We let players go such as Baker, Adams, Murphy, had Marshall on our books too aledgedly to save on wages but at what cost ? over 30 players, mostly plonkers and likely relegation. How that policy is justified to sisu top brass is baffling.

The squad recruitment has always looked odd and imbanced.

The goalkeeper position was almost overlooked. Despite the nonsense spouted about allsop he was an ok league one keeper. Not securing him for the season and not having a plan B was just absurd. We will go down if Burge plays until the end.

I suppose the left side of defence has been unlucky with Johnson and Pugh but a replacement for Haynes should have been found weeks ago. He has been a liability all season.

Midfield purchasing was so bad even Barton - a player who could not get in Fleetwoods squad last season - is now a regular. Barton possibly is one of the most pointless footballers I have seen. Zero contribution when without the ball and his so called talent on it extends to 5 yard passes - normally backwards or occasionally sidewards.

The fact we recruited another forward - who seems to actually make the forwards we have look good - says it all when we need other areas filling urgently.

I would send Williams, Nick and Stokes back to their clubs straight away.

Mowbray then can draft an experienced keeper, an experienced defender and a midfield general straight away.

That allows us to have a max of 6 loans with only 5 in the match day squad.

Samuel and Odelesi will get goals at this level and Pennington is probably the best defender in our current line up.

Has to be done quick.

Mowbray needs to do something and quick!

Burge a hugely inexperienced keeper in any league is not the answer in a L1 relegation battle!

Stokes a non-league reserve player trying to find his football league feet in a L1 relegation battle?!

A limp central midfield of Barton and Fleck? Need Thomas back in there or JOB in the centre to add some more endeavour or ideally a experienced loanee.

We need at least one natural winger who gets to the byline and crosses, too many of our wide players don't track back and predictably always cut inside.

We really need 4 new players in, to do that TM needs to decide on a system and send back players that don't fit in with this. Is there any point having Williams when we don't play with an traditional number 10 for example?

We need to sacrifice some strikers. We only need: Samuel, Tudgay, Nouble, Thomas IMO

Are you talking about this season or next season with regard to the strikers? I guess you mean freeing up wages, but We can only play 5 loans, and there's no point signing unattached players now.

If you're suggesting playing/keeping
Pennington
Samuel
Odelusi

How is he going to add 4 new players?

You make an excellent point! ;-)

Ok not 4, but i'd get shot of Stokes and Williams, bring in a stronger left back and a midfield general and a GK on loan to start. That would mean potentially trusting Turgott over Odelusi??
