Brilliant win that, thought we were the better team for most of the game. Still ridiculously nervous even when we were two goals up.

Burge: 7, generally solid. Couldn't do anything about the goals, is improving. Poor error in the first half when he let the ball squirm under him, but generally much better.

Willis: 8, So solid at right back, really stiffens up the back 4 having effectively another centre back in. Did his part going forward too, great cross.

Pennington: 8, think this kid could be something really special in a good team. Great with the ball at his feet, bails martin out consistently. Can see him playing for Everton someday, would love him back next year.

Martin: 7, Okay. certainly the inferior centre back.

Stokes: 7, solid defensively, doesn't offer much going forward.

Grant: 8, looked composed on the ball, did really well for the second goal. More bite than Barton.

Fleck: 9, MOTM, excellent today. First half really good. So composed. Suits the armband, more reliable than headless O'Brien.

Barton: 7, played okay. Recovered the ball well for the second goal.

Nouble: 8, Really good, took his goal really well. Always looking to create. Needs to play up front.

Samuel: 6, poor. Didn't offer anything.

Subs

Odelusi: 8 made the difference when he came on, would start him next week.

Jackson: no time.

All in all, huge 3 points particularly with Orient winning. Not out of it yet, but pulling a larger pack of teams towards us.

Onwards and upwards.

Taking Samuel off and moving Nouble to the centre was the key to winning this game. Lets not write Samuel off though, he has still scored some good goals for us.

Agree, not writing him off. Excellent against Sheff Utd, but that's twice he's been poor now. Barnsley and today. Can't drop Tudgay, links play well. And Nouble should play up front. Would be a big threat on the break against tired legs as a sub.

I know we won, and that's amazing, but mowbray said we were poor and that we kept giving away cheap possession, we conceded 2 goals, the stats show that Chesterfield dominated possession (54%), had twice as many chances as us (17 v 8 shots), twice as many shots on target (11 vs 5), and x3 amount of corners than us (15 v 5), yet those suggest the back four and midfield were all brilliant. I know the 3 points is all that matters but I'd expect those players scores if we'd won 4/5 nil.

Ps. You've forgotten tudguy.

Yeah maybe i'm just on a high after winning.

Tudgay, 7. Links play well, experienced head and did really well to get to his header, never mind score.
