So, Mowbrays been here less than a week and in his first two signings seems to have tried to actually address where the squad is weak.

Why couldn't Pressley do this in several months?
I have had my fair digs at pressley ,but il give him his credit here somewhat .
He just didnt have the experience that a club like city needed .
Im sure in around 10 years his management style and decisions will be alot different to now

Surely not being able to do the job is not credit?

A stubborn man who either couldn't see the error of his ways or saw it but refused to change it. Poor man manager, poor tactician, poor judge of character and poor judge of ability. Hopefully when he gets another managerial role he will indeed have learned from these things.

I take the point, but I'm not sure building a squad of players instead of signing nothing but strikers is an experience issue? My only experience is Football Manager and I know that. In fact DM is usually my first purchase. Just seems strange he either didn't see our problems as defensive or didn't feel it was important enough ahead of bringing in strikers.

Maybe Pressley couldn't download FM Genie or FM Scout properly?

I think most of our fans could see the issues a mile off.

Rickets could be a useful signing.
with Pressley I get the impression players were recommended to him as being available, rather than him selecting them. When you are struggling and only being recommended strikers do you panic?

i think whatever the scenario, one thing is certain, our scouting network is shit! I believe Pressley acknowledged this as a problem to be fair. Let's face it, you can't manage coach and scout in this day and age. Bt he owners have to put more into the infrastructure of the club if we are to go forwards. It is no good just looking to blame individuals, you have to look at eradicating what is making the club repeatedly fail. Our history in transfers loans for several years has been failure!

i don't see how that can be down to one individual, it surely highlights weakness in several key areas?

Pressley said scouting was non existent when he arrived but towards the end was claiming we had several scouts who were actively watching games and identifying players all over the UK

Was talking to a mate who's a big wolves fan and he tells me Rickets would be an absolute asset. Can really organise a back four apparently which is definitely something we need.

Yes, peeked at some of their comments on the Express & Star, the seem to have a lot of respect for him.
