I think they were assessing his injury as he had to come off. That coupled with the pursuit of Ricketts looked as though he wouldn't be returning. Now that looks unlikely I would say that it will come down to the extent of his injury. I've been impressed with hun and hope he stays until the Summer at the very least.

Looking to complete the paperwork today to extend the loan until the end of the season, in which we can then say thanks for your assistance during the past 3 months but you are not deemed good enough to carry us onto the next level ( which if we have any aspirations if we stay up, then hes quite clearly not good enough very mistake prone and already cost us valuable points / had numerous chances created down his side against us) however, whilst he is here, then will back the lad even if in my opinion he is not good enough for the long term.

It was always going to be an either/or situation with Rickettsia and Stokes.

Don't agree at all. He has done brilliantly with the lack of support in front of him.

Don't agree. You've, not surprisingly, failed to mention he scored on his home debut and cleared one off the line the other night. He also made a last ditch tackle on Saturday which saved our bacon.

Good prospect for me.

Hit the bar and forced a good save the other night. He's done better than our own hot prospect Haynes.

I think your confused. It's stokes we are talking about not Ryan Haynes.

To be fair to Haynes he played well for ten minutes against Gillingham.

Better get him signed up then for the next 5 years, I think expectations of a player have lowered that much over the past 4-5 seasons we now settle for second best on here.

Sheff united - Ripped
Barnsley - Ripped past at will every cross coming down his side
Port Vale- Poor touch fucking up, led to Fleck having no choice but to give winning free kick away and ripped by Marshall when they relised he was the weak link

Left back signing for now as I said, but long term certainly not the answer unless you settle for mediocre in life.

Haynes is a 19 year old kid learning the game still and most likely would fulfill his potential as a winger as he cannot defend, Stokes on the other hand was second fiddle for a mid table conference side and could not kick a ball in anger.

As I mentioned before, I will back him whilst he is here, but hes very very suspect and hes not hard to get by when being attacked at.

Haynes will never make it as s winger. He hasn't the talent. He was effectively sussed after one televised game. The last left back identified on here for his attacking potential was Hussey and that went well.

The 19 year old thing - forget that as well - Finch gets plenty of stick.

I suspect no one would criticise stokes at all if it didn't keep Haynes out the team. Personally I'm glad someone is keeping him out the team.

He's rubbish.

I was at Sheffield United, he went off before they scored you div.

Barnsley he wasn't ripped. Didn't go Port Vale. He did well Saturday and Tuesday.

Well done you you melt, so was I for the record, like I am at every home and away game, but hey if you are happy with a medicore signing which was obviously SECOND choice as we would of preferred to of landed Ricketts you carry on.

Barnsley he was not ripped - Best comment in a long time, he was terrorised all fucking night!

Finch gets plenty of stick because hes nowhere near good enough Mr Grendal never will be.

Don't see what the problem is, he's done well in his spell, his fitness is getting better.

Over the moon that Stokes is staying with us, I thought he was very solid at the back and he has stepped up to the mark really well.

Only one person seems to have a problem, I think the majority of fans are pleased.

about 10 mins more than Fleck has played all season before TM came in !

The slate for all of our squad should have been wiped clean when he arrived.

Indeed. Haynes now has to earn a place ahead of Stokes. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, Haynes form was so poor that he had potential to lose all of his confidence.

Not a fucking clue.

I'm not talking about Stokes, seen him against Sheffield United, Barnsley and Port Vale. Excellent in 2 of those 3 and wasn't that bad against Vale, certainly not the worst player on the pitch.
