For God's sake, haven't we got enough midfielders in the squad now. I demand another striker. ;)

We are light in central midfield and with the calibre of player in this league, who's to say he couldn't make the step up. As long as he can run, tackle and pass, he's a welcome addition.

Says what you want about SP but why didn't he sign players like this?

TM actually realizes finch and Thomas are no where near the grade.

Hes hungry to prove himself and is a ball winner as proven in the U21 game, get him in, was very well thought off at Watford.

Feel sorry for Jack Finch, he is a young boy in a big mans game.
He could hopefully develop into a half decent footballer but I fear him being pushed into a struggling team could have done irrepairable damage to his confidence as a player.
If he had been paired with an "old" head to baby sit him, then he could have played the odd 30 minutes here and there whilst he developed both physically and also gain experience, but with us under SP not utilising our midfield effectively and having Finch run around the pitch holding hands with CT (or JF for that matter) hasn't helped him a jot.
Another one destined for non-league?

On the basis he's shown literally zero technical ability, passing ability or any notable defensive or positional qualities, you could pair him with Gennaro Gattuso and it wouldn't make a difference.

Just read online that forest green basically got rid of bangura and stokes after him because of their wages .
yeovil refused to MATCH what forest green were paying stokes and by all accounts their wage bill is 1.8 million .
if thats true that is a huge amount for a club lying 6th in the conference

They have wealthy backers, was midtable at one point which was being seen as a complete disaster, Eastleigh in that league also have wealthy backers and have spent a fortune for that level.

Watford rated him helped them get to the PL. Give this lad a chance as it's already been stated doesn't take much to look even half decent in this league. Much prefer Dave Hockaday having a big say on signings rather than Waggott, players that have to fight for a chance to get back in the game full time will put much more of a shift in than players who have been sent here by clubs that want rid of them (williams, proschwitz, list goes on)

He would make for some good songs though. Any takers?

A fan walks down the street
He says why are we so soft in the middle now
Why are we soft in the middle
The rest of the season is so hard
I need a photo-opportunity
I want a shot at promotion
Don't want to end up in league two
In the league two graveyard
Bangura Bangura

If you be our midfield man
We will be your long lost pal
We can call you Bangy
And Bangy when your at CCFC
We will call you Al.......

So he will be on the bench instead of Finch.

I wonder where Barton will come into it now JOB is back?

he isnt exactly bigging him up

"even though he has been signed as cover, I want to see him force his way into the team."

Reading between the lines, I think Mowbray sees his potential and is protecting him a little bit. What will hold him back is his fitness levels....but Mowbray is canny enough to offer encouragement, yes you are cover but could with work and application force your way into the team.

Possibly a useful signing and one that may have potentially more longevity for city than Grant.

I know it's a foreign concept to CCFC fans. But I understand some teams have more than one player challenging for a midfield spot.
