Poor pre match warm up for some players.... (2 Viewers)

I sat 5 rows from the front in the East stand from 2.30pm and had a good look at the pre match routine. Frank Nouble in particular was left to do exactly what he wanted, without any structure. No stretching, no running, nothing. Seldom have I seen this go on for so long. Nouble stood around and did nothing, looked lethargic, demotivated, a Billy no-mates . What he brought on to the pitch at 3.00pm was simply a continuation of this. He wasn't the only one. He wasn't ready and no one noticed.

Someone somewhere amongst the coaching staff is left wanting in my opinion over what I witnessed regarding Nouble for the best part of 25 minutes before kick off.

Strange that. Not disputing what your saying as I only went to my seat around 2.50, but normally its looks a bit more structured.

Also noticed of late we appear to be adding more to our warm ups - before the kick off in the second half the players do a final routine over cones. Before Odeluzi came on he was being put through his paces by Pete the cone man. This hasn't happened under other managers. Their usual warm up is having a kick around with the other subs before the teams return.

That said, as it was Nouble, nothing surprises me with him. Not saying he's always showing a wrong attitude, but if there was anyone in the squad now who thinks 'Ill do what I want' it would be him.

I saw them doing a fair bit, the stretches and warmups and leaning on each other to stretch. I can't remember Nouble exactly but as a squad they seemed to be doing a fair bit.

Was up at Ryton the other week watching the boys training. The infamous 'traffic cones' were brought out and a game got underway. I had to leave at half-time.....the cones were winning 2-0.

Stretching? Watch Arsenal and the top teams it is all with the ball, one touch passing! Next week I suggest Noubles warm up is done with an alarm clock and may be a cold shower!

They did that when they had a game on the opposite side of the pitch where they had the ball also which was the one / two touch stuff.

They also did the usual strikers / defenders warm ups.

Stretching and loosening up takes place in the changing room. On the pitch it's more aerobic, one touch pass and move stuff. Maybe Nouble didn't get picked!

He is one of life's naturally lazy people . Just before the ball came back off the post at Fleetwood he had already given up .

They might be having to do that on the pitch now as when we got kicked out of the dressing room we have traditionally used we lost access to the warm up area as well.
