Pennington was absolutely superb today ,would be nice to tie him up on a season long loan next season as hes clearly not going to be for sale .
thought all round defensively sound anf posh rarely threatened .
what a win

Getting carried away here but with Leyton Orient and Notts County up next, 6 points and safe by Easter Monday? Is it really as crazy as it sounds in my head?

I don't see why not. Orient is the big one on Wednesday night. Walsall and Port Vale are being dragged into it now, our current form is far superior to theirs. Add Crewe, Notts County, Scunthorpe, Yeovil and Colchester to the list and I think we will finish above them all.

Mowbray knows how to win football matches. He needs to put the Ricoh hoodoo to bed on Wednesday. 3 points here would be our most important of the season imo.

Good result, well done team. Posh home form has been decent but we were pretty solid. Pleased on 3 fronts tbh - City win; used to live in Peterborough; and some tw@t on poker last night was bragging he's going to scoop a grand on an accumulator when they stuff us.

Results are the most important thing at the moment. Much rather have 3 points than be talking about how exciting it was and what great football we played but lost. Lets make sure we stay up and then Mowbray can bring in the players he wants to play the style he wants.

Good to go to a game where we take the lead and not feel that is a prelude to disaster:pWe actually looked comfortable in defence, thought JOB had a good game, but MOM Pennington.

Yes I could see 3 Shiny baubles standing In the naughty Corner and thought of a Pawn shop
Thought Willis had a particularly effective game both In defence and bombing on today

Coventry, to no-one’s suprise under Mowbray’s managament, were well drilled at the back and in central midfield. Posh were denied any sort of space and the inevitable humps upfield were gobbled up by an excellent pair of central defenders. Former Southampton defender Aaron Martin was a ball magnet as well as an impassable object.

Refreshing to read.

great result, but in truth, a very poor and at times, "boring" game.

MOTM - Pennington

Yes agree but the SkyBlue Army never drew breath today sung one song after another PUSB Keep it up....:p

Mind you their Stewards were a bit aggressive, walked around like little dictators

Great support again today, was very funny when the guy hoofed the ball away from there right back who then gave him a death stare! Then the guy did it again to there keeper who called him f#@king pr@#k! who then fell on his arse kicking the ball. The ref was poor denying us a clear cut penalty and awarding them a throw in after there keeper had kicked it onto the roof of the stand.

Yes STP is right ..we did a real good job on posh .
We basically restricted them to hardly any chances and waited patiently for our own .
Not many teams will go there and frustrate them like we did
