With this season being so bad ..... (7 Viewers)

Do we think that Grant Ward is in with a great chance of player of the season, even though he's only been here for a handful of games?

Any player who can last 90 minutes is a candidate for player of the season.

Doubt it

O'Brien would be my guess, he's been almost an ever present which is odd given how much our team has changed and he has been one of the top 5 least shit players.

A winning goal against Crawley could be a vote stealer!

Would it be fair to say that probably our 3 best players this season have all been loan players? Samuel, Pennington and Ward.

It always saddens me slightly when our best players are the ones we know are returning to their clubs anytime soon.

Very true.

You kind of want our players to really shine until any interest is shown and then have them have a really shitty spell until the interest has subsided and then hope they will come good again.

Samuel should get the award - without him we'd be relegated already.

Showed spirit, determination and scored vital goals.

It's also why Nouble should be on the dole queue as with any of the above qualities the award would be his.

If Nouble had any of the above qualities though, I don't believe he would have ever come here on loan in the first place.

I reckon I would have voted for Dean Emerson that season, myself.

As I didn't Google it I couldn't remember if Emersin was at the club that year. If he was he was my first thought but guessed he signed the season after.

Samuel in terms of technique is head and shoulders above most players I've seen at this level.

Also his work rate is top notch. I really rated him.

Emerson got injured the week before the FA Cup Quarter Final game against Sheff Weds.

Reda could still have a say in top scorer !!

That is bad isn't it...a defender who is mainly absent through injury and suspension!
