Like what?

Scope is in charge of the corporates isn't he? I would expect his to be looking after them rather than shifting boxes around. Fisher is chairman, most likely on a 6 figure salary. If he hasn't got something better to do than shift boxes there's something very wrong there.

I got the feeling that they are doing everything on a thin and scabby shoestring. Stuff is being transported to the Ricoh in staff's cars on matchday and they seem to be unable to even fork out for a rental van. It was mentioned (and this has been mentioned several times before to club) that if they are short of manpower they should ask the fans. The Trust has said it could ask its members among who there are sure to be some who would volunteer to help out on match days, provide a van etc but for some reason the club always seems reluctant to do this.

That's a good idea, shame the club don't follow up in it.

I'm sure the corporates could cope without his charismatic charm for the afternoon

The club tweeted a couple of days ago that people should check their contact details are up to date and their communication preferences allow the club to send them marketing info as they will be sending out details on season tickets and new kit in the next couple of weeks.

They have had my email and mobile numbers for years, yes they are up to date, check on Friday, but never received an email or .txt from club other than when purchasing tickets on line.

Marketing department needs a bit of a wake up call.

TF is supposed to be concentrating on the new stadium. He's not doing very well.

It will either be that or you've got something set on your preferences to not receive marketing mails. They'll be sent out to everyone as a mainshot so there must be some reason you aren't getting them. I get at least one a week, usually more.

I do not do not doubt they are doing everything on the cheap but as you say I am sure the fans would help in some way, I hope the staff have the correct insurance to be moving stock in their cars;). The merchandise if done correctly does seem to be a big way to bring in revenue.

I would be interested to know how many corporate's we have now compared to before as my friend was one before we left but when he and his 6 friends asked for an extra parking space the club said no so they all stopped away saving each one about £70 per month.

6 people stopped going because they'd have to pay to park? That's less that a quid each per game even if you pay by the game!

On that subject a questions for the SCG, why is parking still restricted around the Ricoh, our crowds are now below the threshold at which the restrictions come in effect yet they are still being enforced. Can someone from ACL or the club query the council on this.

They are obviously as tight as me!

The question you ask is a very good one on the parking what is the threshold figure?

Fisher will be on a very generous salary as everybody in football seems to think they deserve a footballers salary, I would say he is the highest paid at the club from a little bit of info I was told.

"Over 12,000 homes are covered by the Ricoh Arena Residents’ Parking Scheme. It aims to make sure there are no parking problems on major event days, where more than 10,000 people are expected at the Arena."

http://www.coventry.gov.uk/info/117/parking/1025/ricoh_arena_-_residents_parking_scheme

I did think I was seeing less of the vultures out on match day, I guess this is being kept quiet as lots of people are making money out of the parking when there is no need to pay for it as we seem to be well under 10k most weeks. I wonder if people stopped paying would the attendances be inflated to get above the threshold?

Thank you for the link

Can I ask: will we see an improvement in customer service at the ticket office and perhaps improved training so all staff know what tickets are on offer?

Are there any plans for improving local marketing. Specifically billboards about the next game and getting players/Sky Blue Sam out and about promoting us.

Can we have free flags?

I think I asked these in Jan's thread but never remembered to check for an answer so if they've already been asked would appreciate an update. Cheers.

Wer'e short staffed and in the shit. Any leader worth their salt would be rolling up their sleeves and chipping in. There is literally nothing more important than front of house in a customer facing business.

No they wouldn't.

That's so typical of a labourite public sector response.

They should know that stuff just so they can upsell and get people coming back. If people come in wanting say 3 tickets they should be pointing out it works out cheaper with a match package. If someone comes in asking about kids tickets they should be getting them signed up to JSBs.

That is true, we need to remove peoples excuses not to go. Even if these excuses are the most illogical thought out reasons you have ever heard, we need to remove that reason. Our fans will pick up on the tiniest reasons to not attend and its about not giving them excuses not to go.

I said a few pages back, how hard would it be to have a few people at every match at the Ricoh who's primary aim is to get u16s at the match signed up to JSB memberships. Would seem a good idea to me and would cost next to nothing to do.

Pardon my complete bleedin' ignorance at this point but I have to ask, with embarrassment, what is SCG ?

To be honest I've lost track as well

We have an awful lot of groups it is hard to keep up:facepalm:

I also can't help thinking the owners like to have lots of groups as it keeps everything very diluted and much easier to handle.

Some of these were asked on here prior to the last SCG and I raised them - answers below

There was a mobile shop at Sixfields but Tynan Scope informed the meeting that they did not have the manpower or resources to bring stock and man a substantial retail presence hence the table top.

Also no merchandise to sell!

Typical old school British lazy management, more interested in the perks of the job rather than improving company performance.

Besides, I'm private sector now thanks to Gove :p

Wonder what would happen if the attendance was 8k and somebody got a good ticket, pretty good case to not pay it :)

Good idea, I was going to say 2 free child/youth season tickets with every adult one.

We've really got nothing to lose by giving away free tickets to kids. They nag for food, get the merchandise and hopefully turn into paying season ticket holding adults. If we were packing the place of I'd get it but we're not. Would rather that than schoolkids who in many cases don't care and are sent with someone they're not going to form a habit with.

Would it really attract more fee paying adults along to take them to the games? At the end of the day, a u12 can't come by themselves, and as I've said I've got a JSB child ST in the premium seats that cost under £4 a game. And it's a lot cheaper for both adult and children (u7 free) in the family stand.

They can hope to get the merchandise but only if the club get some in, my 3 year old is starting to say to people he is a Sky Blue and I would love to get him a shirt and before anybody says the away one he is 3 imagine the state that would be in after 10 minutes:facepalm:. On that matter why do the club have a white shirt as it is no good for kids as they can't keep them clean.
