Proschwitz I marked down for the dreadful miss and the one bit of awful football in the 2nd half, when we were on the attack and his control was dreadful. Thought he worked hard besides that, but that miss was truly awful.
Was so relieved when Barton was taken off. At times the bloke is nothing short of a liability.
Ward was MOTM first half, but he lost his way a bit in the 2nd half, so MOTM for me was Reda. Excellent leadership shown today and he's been sadly missed.

He was better than Nouble today, thats why I marked him one point higher. If he'd have put chance away second half he would have been a 7/8

I was umming and ahhing as to whether to give Nouble a 5 actually and I would definitely have marked Proschwitz higher, but he's a striker and that miss was a total mare.

Reda was key today always looked to bring the ball out of defence always looked up MOTM for me today
Should also gives Stokes a mention as I thought he was outstanding today. Everyone else at 6's and 7's today for the most part

Proswitch was embarrassingly poor - Nouble was little better.
Proschwitz worked hard and yes was guilty of a bad miss, but embarrassingly poor? No
Nouble thinks he's a lot better than he is and that will his downfall.

Stokes did well to set up the goal but defensively was poor, he was skinned a couple of times in the first half, Madisson is the type of footballer you want to watch, still only 18 plenty more to come from him, hopefully whist in the sky blue of Coventry
No as he isn't a goalscorer quite clearly but for now he will do. Mowbray stated that he lives off goals which is worrying but never the less he worked hard and put himself about a bit, shame I can't say that about Nouble who at times was just lazy.
Burge 7 - some good stops and seems to be growing in confidence every game
Stokes 6 - one of his better games today, attacked a lot more and is looking a bit sharper. Defended well and good assist
Reda 8 - what a difference having this guy back instead of martin. Dominant in the air and gets the ball no matter what. Great leader and him and Pennington would be a solid partnership
Pennington 8 - for me brilliant again. Wins his battles and looks very comfortable on the ball. Want to see him bring it forward more often though
Willis 6 - not a natural right back but solid display nonetheless
JOB 7 - got on with his job today and did it well, tired as usual in second half but great finish
Fleck 6 - played ok, were a lot better off with him in centre midfield but would love to see him burst into the box more
Ward 6 - good game nothing special just played it simple
Barton 5 - tried but not what we need out in the right, swap with ward maybe?
Nouble 5 - drifts in and out of the game when he pleases, got potential but ATM he's struggling
Proschwitz 6 - did ok, worked hard but needs to be putting those chances away, worth another chance on tues
Maddison 8 - if you were there you know why
Phillips 7 - with a little more confidence he could be a half decent winger

True but we haven't got a lot else ATM so it's more a case of Mowbray working with what we've got. Don't want to write him off just yet though tbh. This is league one remember if he was good in the air and fast he wouldn't be here

Phillips will be a full back, not a winger. Maybe he can do a job there when we are looking to provide extra defensive cover down the right flank but thats about it.

Yeah, it's a string to his bow in times of need. but I think he is definitely a right back. Same as Willis definitely isn't. I like him, but he needs to be in the centre of defence. He doesn't have the right attributes for a full back.

Stokes 7- played well and got an assist. I like him.
Pennington 7 solid and reliable. Keep him if we can
Johnson - 8 was fantastic. Won everything and is a class above this league just needs to play and if been fit for us this season could well be challenging for play offs. He is that big for us.

Ward 6 pretty standard, would like to keep him.
Fleck 6 same as ward really battles and we are better with him than without.
Barton 4 was crap and not in the game. Rightly subbed. He will go in the summer finally.

Correct I gave him a 4 on my ratings. If he didn't play then we would be a better team. He was crap today and has no steel whatsoever. 7 is a bit silly but that's his opinion.

One moment summed him up perfectly.
Willis had the ball near our own corner flag. he had an opposition player about 5 yards in front of him. Barton stood to Willis' side, about 10 yards sidewards. Behind their player was absolutely acres and acres of space. All Barton had to do was to move into the space behind their opposition player and we had an attacking opportunity.
Barton however just stayed when he was and made no movement and beckoned for Willis to give him the ball to feet.
We lost possession.
Frustrating as hell when he does that.

I don't think he did have a good performance. 6 for me is average and I said I was debating as to whether to give him a 5 or not.
He didn't have a good performance. I very nearly though changed Barton from 5 to 4 too.

You can see he has ability, but as you say, half the time he strolls around the park as if he is at Ryton.

I meant to give Barton a 6 (the same as fleck) I thibk he's a classy player. He made two excellent slide rule passes, one in the first half, one in the second that slipped in a player for a chance. He's the only player we have that has the vision for that. I don't think we have room for him and fleck on the same midfield, especially when we play with two strikers and no wingers for them to spread the play to.

I think we need to get rid. He flits in and out of games and is not the sort of player you want when you need to knuckle down and grind out a victory.
How many MOTM performances have we had from him in all the time he has been here? He has skill, but he lacks the drive and passion and consistency needed unfortunately.

Personally, I can't believe so many posters have scored Reda so high. Second half, his defending inside our own penalty area was the stuff of genuine nightmares.

All il say is in my opinion matthew pennington is a class act ..
i cant remember him getting beat in the air or on the ground in all fairness.
he works tirelessly week in week out and is a cut above all the defenders currently at ccfc .
