Took my 5 year old along to the family zone activities today. Yes, its done on a shoestring but the effort was there and the kids present enjoyed themselves. And it didn't cost a penny to take part. The lad won some chocolate on the egg hunt which made his day.

Also saw the paste table mechanise sale. Again done on a shoestring but needs must. I spent a few quid there.

Maybe we should strive to follow Wasp's initiative..... and have two paste tables in the Rope Walk.

In general its pleasing to see a large number of young supporters at the games. Not just home games, but the away ones too.

It is keeping the youngsters as fans of this club that is difficult.

You on a wind up?

Well done? Were a joke. All what you said should be common practice at ANY club in the football. Our expectations are now that low we congratulate on basic things. Jesus wept

It is common practice in terms of the kids stuff. Don't let that get in the way of somebody giving credit though.

Some of the kids were having a great time.

Agree that the pasting table selling marshmellows among other things is a joke but I sat in the family area and there was loads of kids there. Sam comes round kick footballs in the crowd etc. Kids love it.

Didn't manage to make it over finally for yesterday's game, but think the kids for a quid idea is definitely a good one as I wouldn't bother taking them otherwise- for what has been fairly dubious entertainment on occasion- £25 for four of us is good value, £55 not quite so much.

Shame they didn't think of the kids last year at sixfields then. Most of the kids I seen at the match yesterday were playing on there phone for the duration.

Another fan (there are many) who aren't happy unless they're slagging the club off.

You made the fatal error of saying the team you support did something well. Massive mistake on here. The Moaning Minnies don't like it. Makes them cry.

Jesus. Why the vitriol? My lad had a good time, untwist your knickers.

The family zone is ran by volunteers who give up their time for the future fans. Think that deserves some credit: they work closely with the club but never ask for anything back.

Yes, clubs should always have something for the kids, but let's not knock what we do have, eh?
