When did you last buy a Cov shirt ? (6 Viewers)

Not for your kids, for yourself ? I've had one home and away every year since I was 5 years old, and still wear them with pride to this today. Another related question, if ever when did you last have a players name on the back of your shirt ? Or do your kids have players names on the back of there shirts ?

The last time I did was a few seasons back when Keogh scored for us (possibly last game of the season ?) against Norwich away. He won me a pretty big sum of money that day and upon collecting my winnings outside the ground his Dad thanked me for backing him to score, I thought it was only fair to get his name on my next seasons kit :)

I feel like I'm a bit old for that these days though, when I was a kid and I had the players I looked up to it was fine but being 30 getting a players name half my age just seems a bit odd !

For myself it was the green and black striped one. I played footy then so wore it for training / the gym.

I used to buy one every year without fail. However, at 44 I'm a bit too old to wear them (and prefer to wear "other" shirts now) so have not bought one for myself in about 5 years.

I got the retro style one we had a few years back and I got one of the Puma FA Cup replica's. Prior to that probably one of the late 90s ones. Used to buy them every season when I was younger.

I am not sure if i have ever bought one for myself. Had a few bought for me in the past but i am not a fan of them greatly greatly over priced and the materials they use are man made rubbish much rather go to somewhere like next buy a half decent top and get pissed with the money i save

I did buy the retro sky blue one (not a footy shirt but a normal t shirt), tempted to get an Admiral version.

I got the current away one during that phase of giddy excitement when we announced the return and just before the shop was ram-raided.

Actually I think the white away one is the best we've had for a while.

Last one I bought was the black away one. I love black kits. Our away shirts should always be black. Never red though, it doesn't go well with the complexion of the average football fan.

The one with the gold stadi sponsor?

Unless you are wearing it to a game there is nothing worse than the sight of a fully grown man wearing a football shirt.

Still got that saucy black number, although the sponsor logo now has a green hue. It's moody gold!

Especially the ones on the green bit.

yellow away kit

full kit is silly but i do not like these new age sky sports fans who dont like wearing colours

nothing wrong with wearing your teams colours, not enough people do now imo

see a dortmund game and its a sea of yellow

in england its all danny dyer wannabes it seems.

The retro one in 2011/12. Only one I've liked for years. I prefer England tops.

Yellow away kit for me too, only ever wear it to the gym though tbh. Oh and I'd never in a million years get a players name on the back.

Have every home one since 1983 and every away one since 1992. Only wear them now to matches or when doing sport. Would never dream of wearing one out into town. Cringeworthy on a 39 y.o.!

I must be a twat then!! Nothing wrong with wearing shirts to matches. Especially away - gives you some identity and home fans always want to stop and chat. I do draw the line at putting your name on the back though - that IS sad!! :D

This season...Coventry Rugby shirt..due to the efforts of the players and coaching staff.
Last Coventry City shirt was a red cotton training top with the embroidered crest. I don't really buy football shirts I hate all that synthetic material and the advertising logo is a big turn off.

Its usually my wife and kids that buy mine as Xmas/Birthday presents so without a bit of research I couldn't say. I know that they did want too this Xmas but.......

I remember the last shirt I had with a name on it was Mifsud. I got mobbed (well almost) wearing it in Malta by people shouting "The Mosquito".

always get one for my birthday in August and I mean always even if I say don't bother ;)
Me too! My parents used to get me the home shirt as a birthday present every year. Had to draw a halt to it tho in my early forties!
I just didn't wear them that much, very rarely to the match. Always used to take one away on holiday, but mostly they spent their time occupying a draw (or three)
I feel a big ebay listing coming on. The only ones I will deffo keep are the 1960's home retro ones. One long, the other short sleeved. And in glorious 100% cotton!
