the only ex academy players I'd get rid of for now is Willis and C Thomas because I've seen enough of them to confirm their shiteness!

You could put them all on the list but to be fair it would not change a thing.. The club has bigger problems off the field and until that is sorted on the field players will come and go without progression as a club.. Individuals who perform will be sold to fund another weak squad who play without hope and this is being transferred to the fans which will make them think twice before getting a ST in the coming years.....

We are a club that does the same every year and expects fans to follow due to habit,, well without hope that habit finds other more entertaining things to do with its time, which could apply for the majority that stay away..SW needs to know he is not wanted by the majority and Sisu need to know ST sales will be again down to record lows under these owners..

Burge - Keep and send out on year long loan.
Martin
Willis - Keep, but only play as a centre back.
Stokes
Johnson - Not sure now. Like him a lot, but absolutely no use to us if he's going to only play less than 20 games a season.
Barton
C Thomas
Swansong
Turgot
Miller
Nouble
Tudgay
Jackson
Waggott
Fisher
McFarlane
Hockaday
+Fleck!

Plus all loan players.

get rid of everyone under the age of 22, bunch of wasters the rest of them.

You would get rid of everyone under the age of 22 and keep the ones who are 22 or over?

No O'Brien???
Worst decision ever to replace Baker with O'Brien and build the squad around a headless chicken who is constantly out of position who seems to think that pointing and shouting stops the other team from scoring, he does get the odd goal and assist but nowhere near what we need in that role.

I'd keeper Burge, Phillips, Johnson, Haynes, Fleck, O'Brien and Maddison.

I'd hold onto Tudgay until we get 3 strikers in.

Get Moussa back and look to get Baker back when MK let him go when they get promoted!!

I know people will moan and disagree but at the start of the season when things were going ok willis was perhaps our best player when at cb. Need another right back next season to compete with phillips and let willis compete for CB

To get out of L1, which surely should be our aim (not sure its SISU's though), we need players better than L1 standard. We need one or preferably two 20-goal a season strikers. We need two midfielders capable of getting 10, or better yet, 15 goals a season. We need solid center-backs and wing-backs. We need a rock-solid goalkeeper, a reliable penalty-specialist and a top manager. We need to be able to win most games we play and be incredibly difficult to beat. We are light-years away from being in this position. Basically, all we have at the moment is a good manager, nothing else.

Totally agree, we have some players who are useful squad players but now you could say these are core players who we can build a team around.

The likes of Nouble, Barton and Fleck might look reasonable on a good day when things are all going our way. But on a bad day none of them are going to put their foot in and start turning the tide. We have nobody who seems to be able to really boss the game.

We haven't even got set pieces to fall back on when we are struggling in the creative department.

Grant bossed the game for them on Saturday, need someone like him a big lad who actually send a through ball.

Yes but our illustrious owners have broken the habit of quite a few of our die hard fans !!

next year ideally build around

reda
pennington
ward
maddison
samuels

yes i know 3 loanees, need to be season long ones though.

new keeper needed
2 full backs at least as phillips showed he aint ready to start for a promotion chasing team
midfield depth required, i would keep fleck but rest needs revamp
and a proper poacher needed, perhaps to play with proschwitz too whos looking quite good to be fair to him

Philips still has many frailities. If only we had Philips' guile and Willis' strength combined into one player. Willis is very strong and physical and no nonsense, but his distribution is lacking. Philips is good on the ball but lacks strength.

He does. It's the one concern about him, but he does have lots of trickery about him and he can unlock defences.

And he's only 17.....

I see that as a good thing. He hasn't perhaps got the cynicism of some older players and has more of a point to want to prove.

I know he's only 17, but if it was a straight choice between him and the likes of Frank Nouble, then you'd have to go for him wouldn't you? Nouble has been very, very anonymous for a number of games now.

Not saying he is great but look at the results when Thomas has played this season and those results when he has not, there is still a place for a shit holding midfielder in this team who cannot pass but can close down the opposition and support the defence.

We have tried to use Fleck, JOB, Barton but all cannot play that role. It is only Thomas that has successfully done that and he gets slated for not then being able to pass or pirouette like those other non scoring knobs around him.

Definitely, I was just adding to your thoughts in reply to steve who mentioned his lack of physicality.
