Good news : Notts County have to win. If they don't then nothing else matters really . All the others can win, we can lose and we are safe ..... excellent. My glass is suddenly half full .

They are at Gillingham, aren't they?, one of the form teams with a newish manager ,and if they win I think they can finish ninth.

all the above may be crap and totally incorrect, I'm going on my memory which is shit

Is that correct ? Brilliant if so, I was certain of relegation but If that's right then 90% sure we will be ok

Gillingham have nothing to play for, neither do Crewe's opponents Bradford. Colchester's goal difference means they can't realistically catch us. One point at Crawley means we are most certainly safe but it's all academic if Notts don't win (or Crewe lose).

Bugger it, lets just win.

Don`t understand this thread. This has been the case all along.

There was another permutation while Colchester were still in with a shout, but as they drew last night, they now can't catch us, unless the impossible happens and they win against Preston and we lose and there is an 8 goal turnaround.

I see what you mean but in reality Notts have needed to win anyway since the last lot of results to have a chance of staying up.

And I`d say Colchester were in with a (very faint) whisper rather than a shout with Preston away as their last game.

Yes, agree. But had they won their last 2 games they would have finished on 54 points and overtaken us.

The OP is talking in terms of how things impinge on the City.

I like "impinge". Haven't used that for many years . :D
