10 years tomorrow since that game against Derby. Going up there at 4.45 like every other year. Anyone at a loose end and fancies joining me please feel free.

I remember the game very well......and I got to shake Sir Jimmy Hills hand that day too...

...But actually wandering around a housing development where a football ground used to be is a wee bit mad ain't it??

Yes, I remember the day quite clearly. The euphoria of such a massive victory but the sadness of leaving our home.

Not turned out well, has it?

To hang around a block of flats in your shorts I presume, you have too much time on your hands.

You go up there every year? To do what? Trying my hardest not to take the piss here.

I can see the residents now peeking through their net curtains, whispering to each other, here's that odd looking lad again, Betty, quick ring the police.

It was a memorable day and a great atmosphere with us scoring six as we left the old place. A sad day too with over 40 years of memories for me.

We were actually pretty poor at that time too. We missed relegation by 2 points and had we lost at Derby we would have been in Division 3 sooner than we were. It's easy to forget just how long we have been rubbish!

Usually a group of us have a kick about on the green. What's the issue with that?

Depends whose green it is.

If it's Mr. and Mrs. Blenkinsop's back lawn, then I do have an issue with it.

Especially if you've marked out the pitch and drawn a penalty spot on it.

Better put my lawnmower away

Surely that is in contravention of the "no ball games" bylaw covering green spaces in residential areas. Can I be Andy Whing

I'll bring the balls. You bring the balaclavas.

Fair play to you CJ_covblaze. Hope you enjoy it tomorrow.

I've always said that I've never had any regrets and then the other day, I was speaking to my old dear who I took to the game on Saturday and said I do have one. Going to see Kasabian the night before the last game at HR and getting so smashed, I didn't set the alarm clock when I got back home and woke up too late on the day so missed my train to Cov. I was pissed off and gutted. My old dear took my ticket for the game...her first ever Cov match. Not a bad one for your first...

Going back to Highfield Road when it's now all houses and flats is about the same as going back after ten years to an ex girlfriend who's moved on and got married and got seven kids. Leave it be it's over, we've got our memories and nobody can take that away from us.

I think you should all concentrate real hard and try to levitate the housing estate.

Sorry - but this is just about the saddest thing I've read all year. Get a job, son.

Already got a good one. No idea what your current employment status is but if you're a hard worker and have high enough qualifications I might offer you a good one too.
