Wasps have raised the 35m they were looking for in a week.

Any investment bears no relation to the council loan. An absurd statement.

Equally absurd is the notion that this prevents AcL from going bust.

- we don't know who purchased these bonds
- we do know £10 million is being paid to Richardson
- we don't know that acl are actually going to not still have the loan. It's very possible they will still be paying the loan back with Moonstone as the new creditor.

A bond is a loan.

The differences in this case are the council had more security than the bond holders do due to the ambiguity of what happens to the lease if ACL go bust now, the council got 11% interest rate not 6.5%, the council received their money back in a repayment form rather than interest only (which may be an advantage or a disadvantage depending on your opinion), the loan is illiquid and can't be traded to others (which is a disadvantage obviously) whereas the bonds can be traded on the ORB stock exchange, the bonds have a slight advantage that you can keep them tax free in an ISA or SIPP but overall the council loan is a much much more attractive proposition than being a bond purchaser.

Why on earth do you not think their loan can be compared to the bond?

Edit- Sorry didn't respond to the second point, I didn't say it prevents ACL from going bust, it does mean there is almost no chance of it over the next few years though.

The 'we've done nothing wrong and it won't hurt anyone else' line of thought is bizarre. Using their own reasons for purchasing ACL they have made it virtually impossible for CCFC to reach a decent level of success and its madness to suggest that having a top tier rugby team in the city is not going to impact on CRFC.

You'd think that having nearly gone out of business and having been in a groundshare situation themselves they would have more of an understanding but it just seems to be we're fine screw everyone else.

tbf some at least acknowledge the impact of them being here, but its sort of brushed of with a well we've been through the shit so fuck em we deserve this. Then some refuse to even acknowledge the impact they will have.

I don't think it's the wasp fan that comes out of those exchanges looking bad. Who is @skybluemongs what an embarrassment. It's no wonder the wasps fan is giving him grief.

They both come across as cretins, I have no idea why you feel the need to defend the Wasps fan though.

Because if someone posted to me like that they would probably get worse back than he is giving, have you seen the constant tweets the guy gives to simon? I agree though neither of them looks good, but you were trying to criticise wasp fans with your post while linking to something that actually makes a Coventry fan look alot worse. It's completely foolish to pick on single people to mean anything anyway, there is going to be complete childish, angry idiots as every clubs fans be it football or Rugby.

The pair of them have been going at it for about 10 months now, quite funny actually reading it.

Yes they both look like imbeciles, still find it interesting how you immediately jumped to his defence though.

you only posted one side of it (the less significant side) as a way of making a point, had you posted both sides of it with don't these guys two look like idiots I'd have completely agreed with you but you didn't, you tried to mislead with half the information and so I put you right. Now instead of accepting that you try to make it look like I'm some sort of white knight for wasps when in reality im positive they have just as big of percentage of complete idiots as any other club including our own.

You've unmasked my secret identity as a wasps fan despite only being able to name one player (because he went to my school and his mum was my maths teacher (I think)). congratulations, I'm also a champion for their bond issue, despite telling people not to invest on the investment forum I post on. What a hero you are.

You and @skybluemong would make a lovely couple

The less significant side, based on what, your opinion? You're at it again, you can't help yourself but defend him.

I admit I didn't draw attention to skybluemong as I have a pro CCFC agenda, whats your excuse?

With a twitter name like that, I'd hope they were not, errm, 'real' ;)

The less significant side based on the fact he doesn't call people cunts in half his posts, if to you that is defending him then I'm defending him.

Yep you are, as to why you are I still have no idea.

Because he is an idiot that's why. He is one the people who think "one in the eye" for sisu is the main priority. So Wasps being here is a big poke in the eye for them. What other forum would you find a poster defending a fan of a club that has infiltrated their city? Would Wasps be enjoying a cosy family friendly time at Eland Road or Upton Park? I think not as they have fans who just support the club and want anything else that stands in the clubs way to disappear.

Upton Park is in London.

That is a definition of a football hooligan.

The only thing I still have any pride in regarding CCFC is our wonderful fans. 90% of whom have behaved with complete dignity and honour, always choosing the pen over the knife.

Childish attacks on Wasps will solve nothing, fortunately most of our fans are intelligent enough to understand this.

No they would be perfectly happy to see the club die as long as it meant Timmy fishhook fisher, Faggot and joyless all left the building empty handed.

That's none of the qualities you describe.

So how could a London Rugby team have infiltrated West Hams city? I don't think West Ham fans would have been too bothered either. Given that they're moving to rented accommodation.

Oh dear

You've just realised your mistake. Aww, don't you worry your little head about it.

No Tony it's not a mistake. It's using an example of fans with passion and wondering if wasps had acquired those grounds then what "welcome" would they have received.

The new den is also in London and if they'd been booted out I'm sure the locals would be rolling the red carpet out.

To illustrate a point it's natural to quote extremes.

Was it that Millwall fans would gladly travel 35miles for "home" games because of a self imposed exile by the owners? ;)

I think wasps being here is an absolute disaster for ccfc, but I don't blame their fans for that, that would be completely illogical and idiotic. Hating other teams fans is just stupid, Friendly banter sure but it's not actual hate. I'd much prefer to go for a drink with a random wasps, Leicester, villa fan than with you, skybluemong etc.

I don't really even blame wasps for it, nore did I blame Northampton and want them to fail, wasps should look after wasps, Northampton should look after Northampton and ccfc should look after ccfc, unfortunately one of those 3 isn't looking after themselves and they are defended at every turn.

It's particularly hypocritical that you don't acknowledge that you are a white knight for sisu but think I'm one for wasps fans when we are doing the same thing criticiseing the people who are criticising them, other than the fact I did it for a handful of posts and you've done it for 10k or so.

Some people on here seem to find 7 miles an issue but 84 miles perfectly acceptable.
