Sorry Roy if you are sensitive but two issues I have with you;

1) You state the player should do more for the club, does that include you?
2) You say you love the club

If you are sending one message but I read another sorry, but out of all the players, bar Eastwood I think you trythe least. Maybe you think you are Brady from Arsenal and can look lazy but be a tiger. You look like a sheep and act like one too.

If you and the others mean what you say let ty and make the play offs lol

Certainly don't think we can have any qualms re ROD and problems with a lack of trying.

Watch the games maybe?

ROD put in more tackles than pretty much anyone against Blackpool. If there's one thing you will get from him it's hard work and defending from the front.

Hate to be harsh, but I have never disagreed with a post more strongly. Were you at the game on Tuesday? He closed down, chased and harried more than any player on the pitch. It was the most graft I've seen from a City player in ages. To compare him to Eastwood is an insult.

I've been very impressed with RO'D this season.

I think he has been very unlucky to be sacrificed for the team by being stuck out wide when he is a striker. The odd glipse he's had up front-and I mean that, not in the hole-he has got into decent positions and looked our only counter-attacking outlet due to his pace. He and Juke have shown signs of an understanding (big man/quick man).
Top bloke, too-a team player.

Is this poster Cody Mcdonald?? Bitter after being rested on Tuesday?? :)

ROD has done well when called upon. OK he hasnt set the world alight with goals, but the effort is there and he is another striker who is continuously played out of position but still has the fans having high expectations of him! In tonights cet he points out himself hes been played on the wing and even CM, which im guessing he was asked to do on Tuesday when Thorn seemed to panic and we ended up 451!

What a bizarre thread, you cant honestly question the effort he has been putting in, to be fair too him he still has not played many games at this level, and I could also think of worse players to have in our current predicament.

I woud say the answer could be no re Tuesday.

It's only an opinion andhaving read what he has been saying about 'lacking killer instinct' I think he is one of five (forwards) who have to take the blame. I believe he is called a striker and what is their job, at the end of the day? He scored in preseason but has done nothing within the real games.

So if Button or Hamilton were in the back seat, it would still be there fault they didnt drive well, Beacuse they are Drivers? He is being played out of posistion.....however the fact was you questioned his effort and work ethic, which is laughable!!

he scored his goals against teams like nuneaton so the standard is much higher now. Can't fault his work ethic, just isn't techinically good enough for the championship

His work ethic can't be faulted, he tries so hard and puts in more tackles than Bell and Sheffs combined. Personally I'd wouldn't mind seeing him as more of an attacking midfielder rather than striker.

How anyone can question his work rate beggars belief - he tries his little heart out but basically just isn't very good. He has little ability and in many matches you actually feel sorry for him he is so far out of him depth, his true level is 2nd Division or even BSP but certainly not Championship. Unfortunately you need more than work rate to succeed at even our level and ROD simply isn't up to the required standard.
