So when you have people from Wasps coming on here bragging about how it is worth so much but they paid so little, that's a good deal?

That remains to be seen in the long term.
TF said it's not worth it.
A few fans winding you up on here is not a fact.
In reality it's somewhere between the two and we will have to wait to see the actual answer.

Which fans are winding people up?

There are a lot of personal agendas on here that seem to cloud people's judgements. It is a shame really.

Your confusing me !!!!!

So I didn't mention fans did I?

What did Wasps value it as in that bonds thing, what did they pay for it?

All well and good going on and on about SISU trying to rip off the tax payer, but then going quiet when somebody else actually does it.

That's why Sisu took us to Northampton remember.

Yes they tried to distress ACL, but your point:

CCC would have lost it if Wasps had not stood in.

Is still bollocks.

JR said it the loan wasn't state aid

ACL had already got a load of booking for conferencing, etc and stated on the radio that turnover was projected to double. Yes, wasps are trying to claim credit for that.

Finally, if ACL went bust the lease reverts back to the council, who own the freehold. Nothing stopping them then setting up a new management company to run it.

Ergo, the council would not have lost stadium if wasps hadn't of bought it.

We differ on some of our opinions.
We now know that ACL was not making a profit during our year away. A few more years of uncertainty would tip the balance IMO.
It's still a major miscalculation by Sisu and now CCFC and us fans will suffer for years.
We are where we are, a stadium is not achievable in the next 10 years, so we need to work with Wasps and hope they don't take the piss.
However, if we refuse to help ourselves in this respect the stadium will just become more and more yellow and black.

You beg to differ because it fits in with your narrative and appeases your position of support for wasps move.

Yes they had 1 years loss, but we had been told in numerous occasions that they had refocused the business, got inundated with bookings and were forecasting turnover to double. I don't buy that they were going to the wall. But whatever makes you feel better.

I agree we have no choice but to work with wasps in the short term, but the last thing we should do is rush into a long term agreement. Our long term future now lies elsewhere.

Yet you are fighting desperately hard on here to rent a stadium from Wasps in the same situation. Strange.

Do Wasps pay rent to play at the Ricoh?

No I'm talking about our long term future, regardless of the owners, be it sisu or a Russian billionaire.

Can you really see us still at the Ricoh in 15-20 years time renting, a yellow and black seated bowl paying rent whilst getting little access to revenues? I can't.

Someone take some spray paint and put an X through all image so that prick haskell?

If wasps won't invest in a security guard around the statue we should just vandalise all wasps images!

To go back the OP - it's hugely disrepectful. Wasps might have bought ACL, but they didn't buy the statue.

I'd hope that next time some of the Wasps fans who claim to also support CCFC might do something about it.

Who actually has ownership of the statue?

Pretty sure the cash was raised by donations from fans, so guess it depends if they were gifted elsewhere for it to be built or not.

I am going to the ricoh next time wasps play there if I can and make sure it doesn't happen again. Add I won't be watching them

As a point of order, didn't that begin with Richardson/McGinnity who ensured there were no pics of the cup final team around HR? Don't we have a long tradition of being a bit crap with our heritage? (a heritage of being crap, in fact!)

Another point of order, I'd be amazed if Mowbray removed 'em ;)

I was told the club were informed all CCFC related stuff was to go in the dressing room only. My understanding is Waggott is trying to get this changed so at least our stuff is up on matchdays.

At the Crawley game, I was talking to a chap from the London Supporters Club who presented their player of the year award to JOB after the Crewe game. He said that in the lounge there were CCFC pictures up but only for the time that we rent the Ricoh from Wasps. At a specific time they all were asked to leave and retired to the Casino and all the pictures were taken down.

Doesn't seem like we are that welcome really - not my version of hospitality.

As for the OP - very disrepectful and this should be prevented in future. Imagine it happening at Wembley to the Bobby Moore statue!
