If you were searched going into the Ricoh on Tueday night, it was only an exercise.
According to Facilities Director! Anthony Mundy the searches were part of a securuty exercise.
So will we be left alone at the next home game I doubt it, Sisu have more spin than Tony Blair.

Did anyone refuse to be searched ? and if so what happened ? As for "patting down" a 3 year old whoever did that left themselves wide open to an assault charge.

Its a disgrace ,but it tells us the stewards are operated by CCFC not ACL,so the red herrings out of the way,the timing could'nt be worse.hav'nt they been running the stadium for six years now, they've had england internationals, big rugby games ,concerts etc to hone their skills ,but no lets antagonise the fans further ,use them as guinea pigs .The names ADRIAN MUNDY facilities director CCFC,we should snow him under with emails ,and definately our four city MPs

I went to another turnstyle and went in as normal. My 8 year old lad had his rucksack but they didn't ask to search it.

Poor reporting or keeping their directors happy?
Don't know crowsnest but its a bit of a conundrum, stadium run by ACL ,compass pay 12.5m to opperate said stadium ,and then CCfC,melting pot ,confusion =poor treatment of fans and has done since we moved in

I said no tock my coat off and they ley me go in as it was very obvious I had nothing to hide, but one bloke was having a right row with one of the stewards I thought he was going to get thrown out before he got in

Is it company policy to be a bit of a porker to be a goon? I sit behind the goal and some of them look permanently out of breath.

Guy next to me in the stand said he was frisked because of the "possible terrorist threat at the Olympics"

I wasn't frisked BUT this security thing still prevails when you buy a bottle drink inside the ground whereby the bottle cap is removed - what a nonsense - they say there is a risk of people throwing bottle AND cap onto the pitch. Haven't bought a bottle now for two seasons multiply this out by hundreds/thousands = lots of lost revenue (not to CCFC of course).

Similarly you still can't sit with a pint of Nigerian Lager in the corporate boxes if you are facing the pitch, in other words keep it out of sight - you could'n make it up.

Go and view any other sport and this nonsense does'nt exist - what a farce.

If this was an exercise and nothing to do with spontaneously combustible 'SISU Out' banners, why was it not publicised beforehand? Prior notice would not have had a negative impact on the search tecnique practice that the stewards obviously needed. It should have come as no surprise to the organisers that there would be complaints, so if there was no prior notice, why has it taken so long to come up with this exercise story? An explanation should have come the following day.

There is something wrong about this.

to be honest i wasnt bothered by it. Was done reasonably and politely took 30 seconds

I don't think it's the search itself that pisses people off it is the fact that the powers that be have authorised this to stop the anti Sisu banners getting in.

So it was exercise was it - bet that word put the fear of god into the fat bloater orange jacketed goons who obviously have avoided any exercise for years

I wasn't searched, but as i was walking past outside, there was quite an angry man 50+ who refused to get searched, the steward clearly didn't want to do it, but was just following orders, he was siding with the old man but at the end of the day it's his job on the line. If you have a problem with being searched then bring it up with the people who make the decisions to search people on entry. The person who brought up the drinks bottles, just stick them in your pocket and you get no bother at all, Also refuse to accept the bottles when they open them for you at the kiosk, i do and always get a nicely unopened bottle. :D

That's the way it is at all Matches. You are not allowed alcohol in view of the sports field or some crap like that. It's the same reason you can't take beer into the stands.

"
Consumption of alcohol in view of the pitch is contrary to licensing regulations and will lead to ejection. This is an offence under the Sporting Events (control of alcohol) Act 1985.

I'm going to start going up there with the most bizzarre collection of items I can find just to see their reaction when they find them.

Wish I could find the paper mache penis I made at school!

What I dont understand is that the CET steward near where I went in used the olympics as an excuse. Now why would the olympics commity ask them to get used to searches?? Theres no way the olympic organisers are gonna hire any of our stewards for the olympics! They'll actually look to employ people with common sense I imagine! Its all BS imo! SISU putting out orders and hiding behind the honest reasons for it!!

Just a couple of points, all staff are employed by Compass not the club, so they will be used at the olympics games held ay the ricoh, the exercise was put into place to see if it delayed the game in anyway, I worked with Anthony Mundy at Viasystems he knows what he is taking about, I know he would have been in contact with the committee, to show that the club as a whole are up to the standards set by the olympics committee. Why is getting searched a bad thing, if you have something to hide...................

I have nothing to hide, but why as a paying customer have to be subjected to a search to go and support my club as I have be doing for nearly 20 years?

I wouldnt mind but I paid for the bloody ground to be built in the first place!

CCFC want loyalty off the fans, but where is the loyalty in return?

Remember my mate being searched at Sheffield Station for the '87 Semi by a Police, "What's that, empty your pocket son..." I kid you not the Constable confiscated his Scotch Egg.
Went into Block 18 on Tuesday, said to the lad at the gate "aren't you going to search me" and he declined.
I always take a spare bottletop or two in with me to stick it to the man, and enjoy my sacond half swig of pop.
Suggest we all do the same, they couldn't stop us is we all secreted them up our arses. Fight the Power. Smelly pop though.

Who are compass? And why would the olympics commitee be certain to use them? (god help em if they do choose to use our stewards. The only positive in using them is that they know the layout of the ground, where seats are etc, but even on these things they arent perfect!)

And no, I dont only object to searches as I have something to hide! It must just be coincidence that they brought in the searches after the game where it kicked off, right?? :whistle:Had they brought it in at the start of the season, I dont think fans would be suspicious as to why it was introduced!

Compass are a company that supply staff to CCFC, and other clubs, none of the staff that you see on match days, events, or any other goings on are Compass staff, as for the olympics, they are doing it at all stadiums that will be used in the games, only as a precaution are they doing random searches at those clubs that are on the olympics stadium list.

If they need to practice their search techniques, why don't they practice on eachother or even better in the directors box

They've had six soddin years to perfect their stadium manage ment techniques ,their timing is incompetent if you buy their olympic claptrap .no one has anything to hide if they want guinea pigs they can hire them.they've international rugby ,england matches, rock concerts with abysmal safety policies ,god bring the day when this club is back on its feet and we get these anonymous leeches off our back CCFCis a football club not ACLs cashcow to treat their fans with flagrant contempt,SISU OUT COUNCIL OUT ACL OUT COMPASS OUT:slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap:
