It's driving me insane, I'm at work trying to crack on but I find myself refreshing SBT and Facebook every 30 seconds for any news ! Having put the money aside for my first season ticket in years I'm eagerly awaiting just some sort of hint at a press conference or something concrete. Let's get him signed up for a couple of years and stop fannying about !

Most of us are also keeping our money tight until we hear Mowbray is staying. I used to pay monthly direct debit as for some reason I always thought it was more of a sound investment than paying the whole lot in one go !

Nope, Finally I have something new to post...

City fans remain desperate for confirmation that Tony Mowbray has accepted the challengeto become the club’s new, long-term manager.
It’s fair to say it’s dragged on a week longer than we’d all hoped but that has to be a good sign. These things take time, particularly when you get down to the nitty-gritty legals and thrashing out the finer details of a contract.
The hard bit, you would like to think, has been done. That’s certainly the mood music we’re sensing from the state of play so far.
Mogga has stated his case in detail, given Joy Seppala his power-point recipe, in his mind, for promotion.
And having seen previous incumbents’ plans fail to pan out, she, like the supporters, must be desperate for the club to be put into first gear, slammed into second and sent on a 0-60 ride to success rather than continuing wearily on in reverse.

Tony Mowbray and Coventry City owner Joy SeppalaShe freely admits she knows very little about football but even she can see how close the club came to slipping further into the abyss this season and that if there isn’t significant change then that would surely be the outcome next.
Perhaps the most significant sign that things are moving in the right direction was when the club met with his proposed additions to his backroom staff last Wednesday. Now if things hadn’t gone well when Mowbray was holding court the day before, the powers that be wouldn’t have wasted their time running the rule over Marks Venus and Proctor.
[h=4]Story Link Look: Coventry City contracts - Sky Blues players free to leave this summer[/h]Having spoken personally to the man himself following his audience with Sisu, Mowbray talked encouragingly about the discussions and his hopes for a positive outcome.
He remains enthusiastic about taking the job and, let’s be fair, having dipped his toe back in to choppy managerial waters and kept the Sky Blues up, he presumably wouldn’t be short of offers this summer – certainly at this level, if not higher.
[h=4][/h]He admits himself that managers have a short shelf life and he sees Coventry City as a real opportunity to make things happen, given the right infrastructure and control to do it his way.
[h=4]Story Link Coventry City 2014/15 end-of-season survey: Have YOUR say on the Sky Blues[/h]He’s no mug our Mogga and the reason it was a short appointment in the first place was arguably more down to him wanting to have a look at the club before committing himself than City wanting a probationary period to ensure they’d got the right man.
Some of the things he found during that interim period “amazed” him (and that’s in a bad way if you hadn’t already worked it out) but he firmly believes that given the right direction from him, and support from the owners, that the club could be the next Southampton or Norwich City to claw their way back to the big time.
Saturday is the deadline for clubs to submit their retained lists to the Football League. Mowbray will already know who he wants and who he doesn’t, and hopefully City’s list will be ratified with the 51-year-old’s signature sooner rather than later this week.

I have to say, that if Mowbray pulls this off by getting what he needs to bring success (and of course then delivers) then he'll have singled-handedly saved this club. Not prone to hyperbole usually but I cannot see us getting anywhere but League 2 and beyond unless something happens...
