Have they moved Baginton since I lived in Cov? The way some people are going on you'd think it was 100 miles away.

There's not that much parking at the Ricoh and getting there on public transport can be a mission. I'm not convinced that the majority of the crowd are walking there either.

Its nonsense to talk about the transport links or lack of public transport as it is now. The key will be, for any new ground in the city or not, the club putting the right things in place to make it easy for fans to get there.

We are talking about Baginton, Arizona!!

Of course we all want a new ground, or at least a permanent ground, the doubt is entirely in Sisu's ability to deliver.

Plus who actually will own it, what rent will be charged, what additional facilities will be included and what revenues will Sisu allow us too have?

No doubt Wasps will give us A LOT more and all we need to do is ask. I guess your little side business will suffer as well.

2000 spaces at the Ricoh and 1600 in the shopping area. Just a FYI, I'm not getting involved.

Wasps will give us ALOT more what? sorry I am lost, do you mean give us alot more rent to pay when the negotiations take place, as if your talking alot more revenue access, then you clearly are mistaken.

The Butts would be awful because no fucker can get there, might have escaped your notice but 97.5855943% of support comes from inside the ringroad and most can't be arsed to cross because it's dangerous so who will bother with a rural hike, no-one unless we are the new Barcelona. Club would be dead within a couple of years. In fact just in time for Coventry United to climb a couple of more leagues and pitch in for the vacant slot at the Ricoh !

The site is far too constrained for space. There is no parking and no ability to create parking.
So what would happen should 10000, more than we attract at the moment, want to go and see a rugger match ? cancel it ? It seems it would be okay to trek from Willenhall/Finham/Cheylesmore to Baginton so a short brisk walk from the various car parks around the City centre should be no problem.

You are talking about the Butts as if we already own it, we don't and I very much doubt Cov Rugby (if they own it themselves, im not sure) would want to sell it to us, there is no incentive for them.

Parking at the Butts would be a nightmare. Earlsdon and Spon End is rammed and they wouldn't want football fans milling around the town centre if they were to park there

Why would you want to park at the Butts with so many drinking establishments in the town centre to enjoy pre match and take a walk up.

At least we do not need to worry about it considering their is no plans of any kind for a stadium to be built.

Why are football fans different to rugby fans then ? How do they get to the Butts, flying carpets !!

He is being sarcastic by using my words.
IMHO Sisu should stop fighting CCC/Wasps via the JR and then ask them for what we require at the Ricoh.
We should as fans know what they have asked for and be aware what Wasps have rejected.
People are assuming Wasps will say no or have already said no.

We will never feel at home at the Ricoh until we are allowed to integrate into it and personalise it as we want.
IMHO we are staying at the Ricoh and we need to make it a win win for Wasps and ourselves.

All joking aside, we will be at the Ricoh for years, ever in fact and i believe one day some new owner of our beloved club will strike a deal with Wasps buy a share of the Arena and hopefully live happily ever after. Wasps need us there.

Why should we even be bothered about Wasps and their stadium? It goes without saying that it suits your pocket I suppose; so it makes sense that you are so desperate for ccfc to stay there.
As a true Coventry team we should be looking to have as little to do with that franchise as possible.

All we need to do is ask and they will give us what we want. We should even offer to rebrand ourselves as The Sky blue Wasps and play in sky blue & black and yellow stripes.

There is no reason to suggest that they will increase the rent after this year. They have plenty of money and don't even care about money. They don't need us there but they genuinely care about us so will make us feel at home. All we need to do is ask.

No, they'd probably sell all the tickets they have available and enjoy a full attendance with anyone else missing out. You must be aware of the concept, where an event is merely sold out rather than the hosts shitting their brains.

We have no choice at the moment but the Ricoh.

:sarcasm:

If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. We should be looking learn from the Wasps. Their fans are at the forefront of everything they do and they are well run and honest. We'd be lucky to have them as owners.

Personally not worried about this wasps are bigger than city stuff, how many people would line the streets if wasps won something, that's right, no fucker. Now how many if city by some miracle ever won a cup or god forbid a league, wasps crow about selling out for the game against Leicester yet we did it for a JPT area final ffs. As for baginton, there is naff all their, no pubs, no food outlets and it's down wind of Finham sewage works, it leaves a bad smell in the nostrils, so for me is a non starter.
