Why do we bother entering this silly competition. Last night proved once again that no one will vote for us irrespective of the quality of the act. I'm not saying it was a great act but certainly a lot better than some of the other dross. The Germans and French all suffer with the same bigotry yet those bigger nations are footing a big bulk of the cost ! I think the Russian girl was stitched up because of politics as well.

Oh dear, that's a bit damning, such is the standard put out though, it wasn't the worst act. I thought the German and French acts were quite decent in that Euro context type of way too but they were never going to get any votes either. Fair play to the French as well, one of only about 3/4 acts who sang in their own language !?

The German couldn't even win their own contest, so weren't going to have much chance in Europe. France's was just... dull.

More embarrassing for last night's hosts, Austria! They got NIL PWONT! (or however it's bleedin' spelt!) That'll teach them to cheat last year and get a bearded geezer to dress as a girly! :jerkit:

Although the show is mostly political, we really don't help ourselves with what the BBC send. Back when we actually got close or did win, they actually sent real bands and not ones built purely for Eurovision.
