Fair play to you and well done but gonna wait and see who the new signings are before I renew. Could really do with some exitement and potential entertainment dangled in front of me first. I hope that happens before the early bird lands cos its a good price.

I'd make the argument to you that if you are considering buying you should go for it before proof of signings - or at least before the cheap prices go. Two reasons: 1. Look at Mowbray's track record: we can assume that he'll bring in the right players. 2. We don't yet know the impact that some of the kids, esp. Maddison, will have this year. Who would have predicted the impact Wilson had two years ago?

And there's always the evidence of how Mowbray turned the side around even with the poor players we had last season...

That is a lot of long journeys you will be doing with a little girl. Most of them don't shut up. Have you got an on/off button fitted yet?

I've gone as much as I can the last few years, with working weekends, living in Norfolk and my little girl. Went probably 7/8 times last year, that's sort of the reason Ive gone for the season ticket !

@Astute, I'll prob only take my Daughter to a handful of games, the others I'll probably bring a mate down and her seat next to me will be free :)

Have to admire the optimism, especially travelling in from that distance. Like many others I've been sufficiently burnt by SISU's inability to deliver on promises so will wait to see a team materialising that can compete and by that I don't mean the promotion of a few of the academy kids. Long way to go yet though and Mogga the man is still probably on a beach somewhere nicer than the soggy Midlands !

£249 - i will get to around 20 games - thats £12.50 a week
the alternative is i dont go - the wife wants me to go to ikea or some equally dull shopping experience, and it costs me a lot more than £12.50 - and i am equally pissed off as watching a dull 2-0 defeat

and if we ever do have a team capable of challenging, thats an added bonus

I wouldn't be so sure...I sit in block 21 JJ 27/28...immediately in front of you, and there's a single guy behind me who always sits in KK 28. He may renew....

It's a painting by Odilon Redon. He did some scary stuff worse than that! :)
It's also the cover for the Magazine single 'Give Me Everything'.

It will be interesting to see if City can sell more ST's than Wasps or vice versa. This is the first season we may be able assess the impact of the franchise on both CCFC and CRFC. CRFC will have the most to contend with as either way their home matches will be pitched on the same day as either City or Wasps.

Maybe he isn't single anymore and has been told he can't go.

Yes, it will be interesting, but at the end of the day I don't really care. I notice that the CET is starting to put Wasps news on the back page whilst we've been relegated to the inside pages. Shape of things to come, I would imagine.

Interesting how he can also paint this though!

with some of the could'nt give a toss people on the gate they would let your mate in on her ticket:claping hands:

Regularly read rather than post... Me and the Mrs have renewed our season tickets. I wanted to wait to see what happened with signings but she was having none of it! At least the station will be open this year so she can get smashed rather than drive me home if the football is dire again!

I think this year we could be in for some excitement with Tony at the helm.

Agree with you totally about TM and I dont think we could have a better Manager in L1. However, and here's the rub..... we still have the same owners, and that's my big concern. I really do want to renew and all my fingers are crossed.

Wasps support growing would continue to weaken CCFC's position as far as rent agreements etc not to mention as you say suddenly being relegated to '2nd team' in the City in all the media locally and Nationwide.

Have you read the Dostoevsky novella 'Notes from the Underground' which influenced Devoto heavily on 'Song from under the floorboards'? I found it hard-going but generally like his other work (you may know that Crime and Punishment also gets a name check through Raskolnikov in Philadelphia on the same album).

I haven't. But what I find interesting in my more mature years is revisting a lot of the bands and music that I listened to back when I was a yougster to research more of what influenced them. I will give it go as suggested. My kid brother (Ceremony 81 on heer, although he rarely posts) is very much into the academic side of music (if this makes sense), with the likes of Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Manics being obvious areas for research for him.

I am currently just finishing Morrisey's autobiography which offers a great insight inot some of the literary influences that inspired many of other artists at a similar time.

The Buzzkunst project with Shelley is worth a listen too along with Jerky Versions of the Dream.

Yep, I'm a bit of Devoto nerd. :)

Listened to Jerky Versions of the Dream again recently after a break of some years and it sounds dated though in way that the Magazine stuff doesn't. Also have the Luxuria albums.

Me too, although I was always more Buzzcocks than Magazine. Love the Luxuria stuff too. We both must be of a certain age.

Liked Buzzcocks but Magazine was one of my 4 most favourite bands. The others: The Cure; Comsat Angels and Television.
