Went to a second vote, but prince Ali withdrew as he was so far behind in the first vote. Utter disgrace

Not, admittedly, that I know anything about his opponent and if he was a shining beacon of truth and justice...

FBI will find something on him and he will be arrested

He won't. He's a Swiss national and the head of an institution based in Switzerland. Apparently the Swiss although they have laws on bribery, corruption and money laundering they don't use them on their own. So if the FBI do have something on him all he has to do is not leave Switzerland and he's pretty much untouchable. It was no coincidence that all the people who have been arrested in Switzerland so far are not Swiss. For all we know the FBI already have something on him but the Swiss won't action the international arrest warrant. Not saying that is the case but an expert on the subject who was on Radio 2 yesterday said basically the Swiss are hypocrite's when it comes to their own.

Greg Dyke has other ideas
Fifa presidency: Greg Dyke on Sepp Blatter: 'This is not over'

Football Association chairman Greg Dyke does not expect Sepp Blatter to stay as Fifa president, despite the Swiss winning a fifth term in charge, saying "this is not over by any means".

Blatter was re-elected on Friday, two days after the US Justice Department arrested seven Fifa officials for bribery and racketeering charges.

"The idea Blatter could reform Fifa is suspect," claimed Dyke.

"I'd be surprised if Mr Blatter was still in this job in two years' time."

bullshit, the swiss authorities started their own proceedings against people suspected of taking bribes on the votes for the 2018 and 2022 world cup.

Platini said Europe would boycott the World Cup
Him and Putin are both the same
A bluff I would think, Platini was one of the best footballer's of his generation but I think his time as head of uefa is damaging his reputation.
He has a strong hand to play I think, a complete boycott by uefa and an alternative competition taking place with the world champions involved would prove a huge draw to serious footballing nation's. Would the Brazil's and Argentina's of this world turn up to play South korea, Mali or South Africa or the likes of Italy, France, Holland, England and the German's along with the other uefa country's. Does he have the balls ?

Anyone who thinks uefa are the answer needs to give their head a wobble. Blatter didn't vote for Qatar, but Platini did. Funnily enough, the son of Michel Platini started a vey lucrative job in Qatar not long after the vote. Platini was also done for illegal payments whilst a player at St Etienne.
everyone of them pissing in the same pot. Hopefully Platini and Blatter will be sharing the same cell sometime soon.
I think Blatter voted for England and Platini voted for Russia also.

There was book published in 1999 called "How They Stole The Game" by David Yallop. At the time FIFA tried to ban it but failed. If you can get a copy it is a very interesting read.

I think the problem lies around directly receiving incentives and actually being directors of firms who benefit from the world cups, I think it will be very difficult to tie Blatter, Platini etc directly and they are brazen enough to sit it out.
the vote says everything about the protective clever blanket put over all of them.

wouldnt we all want the free watches, 7 star hotel trips to see suitable venues and check on progress in Brail, Russia, Qatar etc it is easy to get into that game and be part of it all

And how many people did they prosecute, because surely there can be no doubt at all that Qatar won it fair and square.....

I can imagine the big names will boycott the World Cup meaning it will be worthless in terms of the money it makes. That will punish FIFA.

it must be naive to believe this scandal is limited to just a few nations. once the investigation spreads to africa, asia & uefa makes you wonder how many of today's delegates will be around for the next fifa election.

Yes, depending on whether the TV companies and sponsors could be enticed. Take that money away from FIFA and it is dead in the water.

Just shows how many countries out there are happy with the current level of corruption. An absolute disgrace. Even if he hasn't been at it himself he's allowed it to thrive under his leadership and done absolutely nothing about it.

What is it with some of you? Wishing he was dead and the like. The guy may not br evryone's cup of tea in this country but in South America, Africa and Asia he has done more for international football than anyone. He won the vote because he is popular and maybe just maybe he hasn't been caught because he hasn't done anything wrong.
Do you guys honestly dislike him only because he overlooked England or do you guys know something? Enlighten us please.

When you say "some" do you really mean "one poster"? And even there post related to the way Blatter is obsessed with clinging onto power, rather than per se.
