...which is what my wife constantly complains about.

I was excited about TM signing. I never expected he would and so was thrilled to hear the good news. Decided to renew season ticket as a result. Haven't yet done it, keep meaning to but it'll be a last minute thing . Either the weather's no good, there's something else to do at home or just can't be bothered. Not heard of any signings I know of or have heard of and suddenly I feel very lethargic about the whole thing. Absolutely will renew but wondered if it's just me feels a bit flat about the whole thing.

I'm a disgrace, I know.

Too many people have got excited too early. It is early days. He will need three transfer windows to build a decent team.
Sit back enjoy the ride and pssst! We might go backwards before forwards, you either have confidence in him and will give him the full term or you are just a head in the clouds fan who bases everything on their experiences a Championship Manager!

Pull yourself together man. TM is so fresh from his hols, he probably still stinks of sangria.

We need half a squad so there's going to be signings, of that I have no doubt. In your defence, there was a swell of positivity when he signed but there's always an end of season lull. Many seem to be more positive about next season. Keep the faith.

On the other hand, I am quite happy with the start that TM has made. He has sorted out his backroom staff and begun discussions with one of our most influential players. I am absolutely certain that incoming players will follow. All this has been done within a week so don't be so negative.

I know plenty who have renewed season tickets who had said they would not and changed their minds rapidly on TM's appointment.

Tony Mowbray has done brilliant in his first two weeks of tenure, he's more or less fucked Waggott off and put Mark Venus in his place.

Oh my good lord,

The man has been back off his holidays for two days. This has got to be thread with the biggest overreaction ever. We've had bullshit managers for years who have left it a lot later to sign a load of dross, maybe we're waiting on the right people ? Or getting deals done before announcing them two weeks before and giving other clubs a chance to come in ?

I've seen a lot of pessimistic posts on this forum but judging a team in the middle of the summer, two weeks after tying down a new manager, a week after releasing half the team that haven't performed this season, while the manager is just back from holiday, a day after announcing his own back room staff.....

Yeah that's pretty fucking hilarious

In TM we have signed a decent manager. He is not a miracle worker. Although this will be debated if we manage to get promoted.

He has been at our club for a few months now. In this time he took a bunch of players that were most probably going to get relegated and took us to safety. He then negotiated with Joy and her cronies (close to a miracle) and seems to have taken over a lot of the running of our club. He released most of our 1st team. He has brought in his own backroom staff. And he has managed to take his family on holiday before a year of graft starts.

So now the rebuilding starts. It won't all happen in a week. Some players will hold out for the highest wage they can get. Some players will hold out for the biggest club they can get. Some will hold out for both. He will also be sorting out what players are available on loan. Then his squad will be complemented with these players. I am happy with what he has managed to do so far and have faith in him.

This season is going to be an anti-climax because we haven't signed a player by the first week of June? LOL.

Most players are still getting pissed up and taking drugs in Vegas. The next two weeks transfer activity will pick up.

Completely agree with this, a good summary. We are indeed lucky to have held on to TM, and for the first time in a long time, I'm beginning to feel like I support a proper football club again, instead of an also ran making up the numbers.

Forget about sisu for now...clearly TM has found a way with them and knows exactly what he's doing.....

To be fair to SISU (this is a 1st), by signing most players on a 12 month contract he was able to do this very easily.

If we signed Dany Pugh, Simeon Jackosn etc to 2-3 year deals, it would be a lot more difficult

As I've posted before, lets get to July 10th and if we haven't got much more done than Stokes and a handful of academy kids then start worrying but that is still 5/6 weeks away.

No it isn't. Not to bring the right players in. On our budget it will be a mixture of signings and development. He won't get all his first choices because no one does, some transfers won't be a success because they never are. We are building from scratch.

I only have a go at SISU when they deserve it. And since getting rid of SP they have had mainly praise from me.

TBF they were lucky that they were unlucky that these players were shown not to be good enough if you get what I mean :D If they ended up being good enough they could all have left for free. Just like Reda can. And TM wants to keep him.
