Does anybody know what has happened at other clubs they have taken on the retail side? It can only be an improvement but I am hoping they will want to get as many lines of t shirts, training gear on the shelves as possible.

If they are the distributer, it is obviously better for them the more they sell!

Where is the club shop nowadays, serious question....

It's good news if they're running the online side of the club shop too, it's horribly clunky.

Those examples look pretty good, you get at least the vague impression it's 2015 from those sites.

North East base as well.....

I wonder if this is part of Mowbrays demands? Would love it to be the case. It's almost like he made a list of everything that is wrong with the way the club is being ran, or that pisses the fans off, and said these are the things you need to fix.

Lets face it, anything Nike produce will be better than last seasons kit. That was truly awful.

I'm not overly impressed, essentially we are buying ready made NIKE kits and this company put on the logo's and sponsor's. The top clubs who use NIKE have a much better quality of kit, the reason all these clubs are doing this is to save money. I'm not exactly against it but it's a very generic kit we will have which will be same design/style as many other clubs in league 1/2. I can say now that Mowbray would have had absolutely nothing to do with the kit supplier!!It simply seems as though many lower league clubs (yes we are a lower league club) are beginning to go down this road as it's cheaper and clearly easier to manage, especially if they're taking on the e-commerce side and club shop.

If it's going to streamline that side of the club's business and save money then I'm all for it but I'm just not that excited about the actual partnership/kit.

Maybe something a bit more bespoke? I'm not sure, I didn't say I was unimpressed, just saying that I'm not really excited by it that's all.

I guess the proof will be in the pudding in terms of the quality and what we will end up with, happy to be proved wrong.

Aside from our 1960s special kit a few seasons back, haven't we always just used template designs? Along with most of the clubs in football generally.

What do you think we've been doing for at least the last 4 years? Do you really think Nike would be designing a bespoke kit for a league one club?! wow

Is there room for our own retail shop at the Ricoh ? i know Wasps have swallowed up the original one but it looks like maybe our owners are lookimg to improve that side of things but is the facitilty there. Or would a better stocked shop at the Gallagher retail park or even in the city centre be the more viable option. Perhaps even our beloved council could go easy on shop rent and rates as a bit of an apology for flogging our ground !

I don't see the issue of it being at Gallagher as long as we can sort some sort of matchday presense at the Ricoh to sell stuff too.

I think high running costs charged by ACL/CCC were one of the reasons the club closed the shop and the clubs offices at the Ricoh. Says something when its cheaper for the club to reopen its shop in a retail park. The refurb, branding and getting everything set up at Gallagher, not to mention the rent there, won't have been cheap.

If they have some decent stuff to sell I don't care if it's at the Gallagher but I wouldn't go there for the current load of rubbish they have, I hope lots of people buy stuff from the shop so we can show London Wasps who the real team are in the City.

Hopefully now these guys will be running the retail side things should be a little better. That is of course if those lovely wasps folk let us!

My only concern is with an external company are they going to charge that little bit extra? You get what you pay for I guess.

The location at Gallagher isn't brilliant though is it, city centre or at the ground for me if it's to work.

It would piss me right off if it was in town. Have to go, park up, pay to park up, walk across town to the shop just to get a ticket.

It isn't really if I just want to pick tickets up or something.

Ideally they would just have a couple of outlets inside other shops :)

For those who don't live particularly near the Gallagher retail park or maybe don't drive its a bit of a trek. A city centre location is the most convenient for all really, if that was an option. Which is kind of why most shops choose to set up in the town centre surely.

Wasn't it Brody who wanted to have a ticketing system that used those pay points you get in loads of shops to pay bills. Was a pretty good idea, you would have been able to get tickets from loads of places. Wonder if they ever looked into it.
