He is very good - a striker. This rumour has already been on here and many believe he is too good to want to play for a League 1 team. I however, believe that it could happen if it were a loan - as he's young and not playing at Newcastle.

Striker? I may be wrong by I thought he was an attacking midfielder?

You may be right - I've just seen videos of him shooting with power and accuracy from distance and giving the keeper problems.

Err, could you explain that to me in layman's terms? As a City fan I have no idea what 'giving the keeper problems' means.

Can play anywhere across the forward line but is usually deployed as a CAM. Tall, strong, a decent amount of pace and a wand of a left foot, certainly better than League 1. The sort of signing that screams 'promotion'.

Do we really want someone who's left foot is a gnarled twig though?

I assured a "deal" was very much on the cards but as said with a new manager at Newcastle, i suspect any would be deal will now be in limbo. Having said that i would think there is plenty of respect between MaClaren and Mowbray so the loan route might be the way.

Newcastle have just appointed Steve MaClaren so things could change there. Will disregard this one.

Agree with that Rupert. MaClaren likes working with young players so he will be looking at him for sure. On another note I'm sure I read about 8 months ago MaClaren tried to take Bigi on loan at Derby so would give him a chance. Hope so as Bigi deserves it.

there is talk that norwich and watford are monitoring him so pretty much this isnt going to happen even if they loan him out there will be alot of championship teams in for him joining city isnt going to help his international hopes

Was just going to post similar. There is a fairly reliable twitter poster claiming that Norwich and Watford are considering bids for him. The poster who first mentioned a link with this guy last week has a strikerate worse than Kevin Kyle.

Perhaps the poster who first mentioned it is Kevin Kyle?

Norwich and Watford in for him? That can't be true. He's completely unproven at Premier League level, in fact he's not even played at championship standard. Why would they go in for him?

It'd be an okay signing for us, but no better than that. The only positive is that he's young so you would hope he will improve playing regular football.

fuck knows maybe a scout has told them his worth looking at scoring 8 goals in 12 games for rangers probably put a few clubs on alert that he might be talented. did play 5 games at championship level for cardiff.
