Not much in attendance figures. Will get avg ticket prices.

Average season ticket in Bundesliga is £138. Premier League is £508 on last season's figures according to the below article...

Sorry, sarcasm. Should have made that clear. Of course inflation is relevant. It means that relatively tickets cost a lot more now compared to people's salaries than it did 20 odd years ago.
Erm...no it doesn't. Inflation isn't a measure of people's salaries?

Ok, it was a rough guide. How about English ticket prices have risen way above the rate that the average salary has risen. This is fact so I'm not sure what there is to disagree with.

So who is getting the most revenue?

Premier League obviously. Not all about that though is it? Overcharging just because you can.

I'm just glad our club are bucking the trend with this. I personally think we are doing the right thing.

Be more specific. I think football tickets generally are overpriced but ours are ok. You agreed with this only a few minutes ago. Make your mind up.

Be specific...where did I agree with this?

I think there's 2 separate things that are getting mixed up here.

THere's how our prices compare against others, that's only meaningful when you compare against others in this country. We come out pretty well on that front.

Then there's the price of English football in general which is high compared to much of Europe. At the top level in particular the argument would be that with so much TV money the prices could be much lower. The flip side is the likes of Arsenal have little trouble selling very expensive tickets so simple supply and demand would suggest its not overpriced.

Here.

I was curious as to why you were comparing it to inflation...and you've just basically conceded it wasn't relevant to what you were trying to say

Yes that's all it's about. Balancing price to consumer demand.

Cheers mate, so can you point me to the bit where Chiefdave says the word "overpriced" in the quote I agreed with?
Edit: He says it at the end but it's in agreement with me.

I agree that supply and demand dictates for someone like Arsenal, but whether a load of middle-class folks buying tickets that the average family can't afford is right is open for debate. For me, that is wrong and hence why I believe it is overpriced.
