If we do get promoted this year (5 Viewers)

How many season tickets would we sell in the Championship and what would the overall attendances be? Say we had a Bristol City season - romped the league and won the JPT. Remember this would be the first time we would have done anything exciting for 15 years (or 30 years, depends how you view success). This would get the older lot who haven't been to many games since we got relegated from the the Premiership back interested again and the younger lot more interested in Cov as they've finally seen a winning team which they can relate to and call City players their heroes/idols. So, how many do you think?

Depends on pricing, momentum carried into the summer, signings, buzz & impact the promotion makes in the City, impossible to predict at the minute an exact number.

13,645 - would have been more, but there will only have been one till operating and the printer wouldn't work properly leading to many leaving the queue, then moaning on here!:eek::eek:

Apparently the Club's business model falls apart in the championship, so what's the point in getting promoted?

The business model, like all business models has made assumptions, which may or may not turn out to be accurate.

Sisu don't know what promotion is so things are f**ked before we start!

There's no way we would sell 15000 season tickets. 9k at very best

We sold 9k every season in the championship when we knew we were going to be battling relegation every season...this would be coming off a promotion season and a cup win with a buzz around the club

Completely agree.

But it doesn't exactly cry out ambition when the clubs CEO is basically saying, we're better off staying in league one for now until we own a stadium.

All I'm saying is, you can't expect positivity and ambition to flow if it's not matched my the club.

Maybe they've changed their views over the summer, and have asked Mowbray to push for the play offs etc, but I don't see any evidence of that yet...

8-9k ST's with 14-15k attendance. If we manage to achieve promotion this season, we're likely to be relegation candidates in the Championship.

What the clubs CEO is basically saying is... Wasps, we need a renegotiated deal if we reach the Championship.

I can't see wasps ever giving us the deal we need on the championship, we know with only limited stadium matchday revenues our turnover is limited to being one of the 3-4 lowest on the league. :(

sorry this has been done to death :(

You say this has been done to death, and I agree.

But unfortunately, until we are sorted off the field, we can never really build and challenge on it.

The two go hand in hand :(

I don't think it's a case of saying we are better off in league 1 or that we don't want to get promotion, I think it's clear that play offs are the target this year. Its an acknowledgement that if we were in the championship the current deal would mean have one of the lowest budgets in the division and thus anything above relegation in the championship would be a massive success.

I can't see how play offs is the target this year. We escaped relegation on the final day of the season, 1/2 the squad has left, there has been no investment in the squad. Being realistic a mid table finish is about the best we can hope for.

We would get some decent crowds. Just think if we were to do a Bristol City, we would see the return of many thousands with at least one game towards the end of the season selling out. The excitement will get people back into it.

Just before Mowbery arrived wasn't Fisher suggesting he was close to completing a land deal and an announcement was imminent?

Seems to have gone quiet again with everyone building up unrealistic expectation around the arrival of Mowbrey. We won't get promotion next year, reaching the play offs will be a big ask.

Still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. His body language is fantastic.

This crazy man is still employed by the same people after making this ludicrous statement, I wouldn't trust Sepalla with my money if she can't spot this man is a buffoon.

Don't worry about promotion this year-it's not going to happen! We still have the majority of the dross that we watched last season in the starting 11 at the minute.
