Does anyone know if there is lounge access/bar { with proper glasses } with a ticket in this area for the forthcoming season ?

No there isn't. It's just a seat in front of the press box without any advantages over and above of anyone else of us underlings.

I've sat there in the past, to be honest if you dressed the part I doubt anyone would stop you going in to the bars.

They opened the lounge to fans in 37 most games last season.

Ok thanks Grendel, I remember you saying that you retreated back to a lounge during one particularly awful game. I like the idea of a civilised refuge that doesn't cost the earth, especially if I will be using the new rail stop for some games and leaving the car at home.

Having been evicted from the North Stand and not fancying the main stand two of us thought we would give this a try, so this sounds quite civilized. Look forward to seeing how it shapes up.
