I think I read somewhere that he has impressed at Birmingham. He scored in a friendly against Kidderminster Harriers I think.

That's him. 26 and can play centre back or left back.

Just wiki'd him now was at Orient last season didn't realise that.

Didn't dohdoh say we were after another Orient player when we signed RV. Whoever dohdoh is has the best inside knowledge I've seen on any city forum!

If he has a bad attitude as one of the comments suggests I don't think Mowbray will be in for him...at least I hope not

Don't know anything about this lad but even if he is a good player, surely we have enough defenders (9) in the squad to do a job at least until the January transfer window. Ok some of them are youngsters but as they say, if you're good enough you're old enough:

Jordan Willis
Reda Johnson
Sam Ricketts
Aaron Martin
Aaron Phillips
Ryan Haynes
Chris Stokes
Cian Harries
Dion Kelly-Evans

It's goals we need. As it stands at the moment, I can see Maddison being our top goal scorer this season with about 10

I agree we are crying our for strikers and attacking midfield players and it is frustrating as to how long it is actually taking, but if it's quality and the right players becoming available that is the issue then we should trust TM to get it right in the coming weeks (despite time running out).

Of the defenders you mention above, I would rule out the twins as I don't think they'll play much this season although I could be wrong. I like Stokes and have faith in Haynes, but it does still look relatively weak down that side. Another left back or centre half may allow either Ricketts or Reda to play there. One more body should do it at the back. Would love an experienced goalkeeper too.

He hasn't signed yet and this could just be a rumour.

Let's hope seems he is universally hated.

Martin is shocking. In a way I like the way he is building a defensively sound team, should prevent games like oldham away last season but still seem lacking in attacking options.

The Orient manager hinted that we'd offered Lowry a deal. He's holding out for an offer from Birmingham though which is to be expected. Would be good as a versatile defender and is an upgrade on Stokes/Haynes at LB imo.

He is going to Birmingham.

Lowry didn't play in either of Birmingham's games tonight. They had friendlies against Shrewsbury and Northampton.

Not sure we need another defender ahead of more attacking options. Also not too keen on this rep he's coming in with from Orient, don't really need trouble-makers, especially those from teams relegated from this division last season. Though to be fair that club was an absolute shambles behind the scenes last year so that might have influenced that. Trust Mowbray to know what he's doing.
