Its more spending £500+K of our current budget as against transfers +wages to get out of L1.
Is ours any more likely to provide 3-4-5 squad members of the right calibre over attracting upper division rejects of similar or better quality?

FWIW it's the surprising thing with our owners, and the comfort through SIxfields. If only short term gain then yep, you'd close it down as you could sign up the decent players already there, and save the running costs.
It's the long term though, the building of a club...
And the way to get better player is to show they get a first team chance with us. The thinking footballer (there must be some!) look at the games players get and the opportunity to move elsewhere as a result of that... and then they sign for us rather than the bright lights and unending reserve football elsewhere.
