See another so called target Jacobs gone to Wigan...

Feeling not very positive same old shite from the Club. Mowbray says he don't really want loans when he signed today he says we can only get loans... No money available again... Signings not really anything to get excited about

Ricketts - 33 years old
Johnson - Very Injury prone
Stokes - Non League
Lawton - Not ready
Vincelot - Relegated last year
Tudgay - Not Good Enough

No club in this league can compete with Wigan.

Ricketts - ideal captain and captained a team out of this league not long ago
Johnson - one of the best players in the division when fit
Stokes - Key player when Mowbray arrived
Lawton - Won't play much anyway
Vincelot - Quality player at this level
Tudgay - Key player when Mowbray arrived

And one you forgot
Lameiras - Exciting prospect who came through the Spurs acadmey

No money available? Do loans play for free then? Maybe Mowbray thinks we can get a better of quality of striker by loaning than we would by signing a player permanently.

This is true, but we will still beat them 2-0 in the first game of the season.

Wigan paid £500k for Jacobs...what do you want us to do? There's not much we can do if teams are spending money to get the best players we've just got to hope that our 11 players are far more committed them to make up for their lesser ability.

I thought they'd lost their main benefactor ? Where do the mighty Wigan find their dosh from now ?
PS I went to a cup game at their old ground circa late 80's with City, the away end was a wet grassy bank and there was about 2,500 in attendance, how times have changed.

They have massive parachute payments and obviously money made through sales recently.

Don't get me wrong, they're an absolute nothing club with laughable support, but football doesn't work like that. Wigan can offer far more money than CCFC. Wigan will therefore get the best players in this league.

Nick, would it be possible to create some sort of IQ test we need to take before we can post? Nice one.

Dave Whelan is still involved. He just isn't chairman.

they should bring in a rule to stop teams that fall into this league getting trampoline payments (they are really there to help you bounce back not soften the fall) if you get relegated twice it is miss management.

I guess we could have paid £500,001 and he would have been ours...

For the love of God what do people expect. We have nothing, no ground, no money. Just get your expectations in check support what we have or do something different on a Saturday

Ricketts - 33 years old -Yep. Good call. With this logic we would never have signed Gary McAllister or Gordon Strachan or indeed, Dennis Wise.

Johnson - Very Injury prone - Surely worth the gamble. We look a much stronger player and more organised when he's in the team.

Stokes - Non League - WAS non-league. Now got a good bit of League One football under his belt. Not the best player in the world, but I think he could do alright.

Lawton - Not ready - Too early to tell, but I don't think anyone at the club is expecting him to be a first team regular this season. He's one for the future surely.

Vincelot - Relegated last year - Yep. No club should ever sign a player who has been relegated, no matter how good that individual might be.

I have faith in that Mogga will get the right Players in. No need to panic we have a long season ahead and I am sure we will be this time next year not so jumpy.

i find it ridiculous that people will only go if certain players are brought in etc etc. I thought if you support the club you would go regardless.... and get behind what the managers trying to do in the long term.

What good have sisu done for this club since they took over? We moved grounds for a year. We got relegated into league 1. Our attendances have halved. All the above are the reasons why we are where we are with limited budget.

The halving of attendances is why we have a limited budget. I agree with that.

I don't understand the mass hysteria, when where we even officially linked with him? I agree I would of loved to see a few new faces in by now but trust TM to get the right people in. I feel we are a GK, RW, and 3x strikers short of being extremely competitive (not much lol) but although frustrating we need to wait and see....keep the faith PUSB

Yep. Thought our love of the club as fans was unconditional.

Maybe we should change the words of 'I'm City til I die?'

Very wise words Otis but I think we all know what the chap is getting at; do we not? The fact is we seem to be heading for another season of failure and until a signing excites no more ST's will be sold. It is all very well for the likes of Grendel to throw insults about but until those signings are made we will be no further forward.
