Has many problems. The city it's in. The area of the city it's in. The city it's in. Depressing place to be. The city it's in. Transport links. The city it's in. Seats are crap. The city it's in. The main issue though like you said it's crumbling and the minimum requirement I expect from a structure I visit is for me to not expect the roof to collapse in on me. Horrible shack of a place. Oh and the city it's in.

I don't know why but I get the impression you are not keen on Milan.

What ever gave you that idea? Can not underestimate how much of a dive the place it is. Only place I've been to that's worse is Marseille. Tbf to the San Siro though you do get taken back by the size of it. Only ground I've been to that seems bigger is Croke Park. Wembley feels small in comparison to both.

San Siro was fantastic when I went to see the Milan derby bout it was early 90's. Dortmund is the ground I would like to go to most.

Ibrox, when the whole stadium is doing the bouncy bouncy the place literally shakes.

So I shouldn't go on holiday there then?

Every doorway has a tramp. Every wall, signpost, and even some vehicles has graffiti. Ridiculously expensive. Litter everywhere.

As for the rest of Italy, Pisa's a bit of a dive. Trieste is a bit boring. Venice, well I'd rather spend time on the Coventry Canal. Turin's nice and worth a visit for a day or so but there's not much there and the people are neanderthal cretins. Lake Garda's stunning as is the area around San Marino and Missano. Mugello is just bonkers.

Rome is the craziest place I have been to some of the roads seem to go from 5 lines to 2 in an instant and I am sure as soon as the car starts so does the horn, 3am is like 3pm it never stopped, my family come from a village near to Treviso which is very quiet also been to Padova for work which was ok and Bologna for work which was nice

Its about the stadium itself though not the city, thats a whole different thread.

Stadium de Luz, Benfica's home ground which had not long opened in 2004, was immense.

Highbury, White Hart Lane, Old Trafford for bigger grounds.

Really enjoyed Torquay in the cup a few years ago, stood on the terracing! And always enjoy a day out at Watford with all the corrugated iron at the back of the stand.

Even if you put my choices for crap grounds in the middle of Kensington or Monte Carlo I still wouldn't think of them any different.

Its just that you mentioned the city 7 times in your reasons why....oh and the seats ;)

Fair enough though but I totally disagree. Give me the architectural uniquness of the San Siro over the Donbass any day.

Ah the other bits are enough to put me off. I'll give you that it's unique. I think it's a shame tbh that it could be so much better. The Donbass has been bombed but it's still a safer and more pleasurable environment (even with the current situation) than the San Siro.

The Donbass is pretty unique too isn't it? From the concourse to the moat round it.

Its a nice ground for sure, I managed to visit it in the Euros but for me it hasn't got that 'classic' feel to it like other grounds have. I agree the San Siro feels much older when you actually get there but the design of the roof at the time was incredible and still is. The Bombonera feels even more rickety, crumbling and structurally unsafe than the San Siro and in an even dodgier area but the ground when full is just breathtaking.

I'll give best stadium to St James' Park. Walkable from city centre - looks great, good noise. All round top stadium.
