So what's so special about this crowd, they don't appear to have any superstars and they may give us a chance by playing Leon Barnett at the back ?

They have a lot of financial clout which apparently means that they are going to walk the league but that isn't necessarily a given as we have seen over the years. Their (football) fanbase is quite frankly pathetic having been to their stadium a few times during their Premier League era with a Chelsea supporting friend of mine, I don't recall them selling out once...Nice stadium mind.

Their Chairman is about 12 and been giving it the Billy Big Bollocks approach about them storming to the title so I personally hope they fall flat on their faces. Their manager is also unproven, so there are a few things to potentially go against them.

A victory would certainly lay down a marker of our intent for the season ahead, but 3 more new faces are required before we can be classed as ready in my opinion.

Should hopefully be a cracker to start the season anyway!

They've signed some decent players, expect them to be right in the mix pushing for promotion. Be a tough game but a game I think we can get summat from

QPR have just agreed a fee to sign their captain, perch, so looks like they are actually doing a rebuild and if anything could face problems with team cohesion, new manager and new team will be interesting to see.

A totally new side, apparently only 1 players from last season guaranteed to start, I have a few Wigan FC mates and I'd fookin love it if we beat them, they're also billy big billon about the season ahead.

I like Leon Barnett*. I remember he was one of the scant few to come back out after that awful end of season defeat against Watford to acknowledge the fans, and that's a loan player who spent most the time getting jeered.

*not as a player, he was awful
