The more and more TM is waiting the more and more I believe it is Samuel from Reading will be joining us. He already knows the lads and doesn't have to advertise to Wigan he will be with us.
Another reason for the delay is if the players come in for a 6 month loan you may as well start it just before the season kicks off so they can play more games in January

I think we will get Samuel. He didn't feature today and the Reading owners are prepared to splash cash on a couple of strikers I believe.

TM is waiting for the answer on him,, but i'm sure other L1 clubs are keeping an eye on that already,, he is capable of scoring in L1 and would be a vast improvement on what we have now.. Thing is does TM wait is he someone that would come back or is it someone reading want in and around the first team,,, i would of thought TM has a timeline on him and is jsut haoping he falls in it....

As good as he is, he does not have the pace of Wilson and therefore cannot create chances for himself, he will need a midfield for that which I doubt we currently have.

On top of what we currently have, last season we had barton and ward and he did ok. This season we have swanson, reuben and vinny.

There is no reason why he wouldn't score as many as he did last season if he was with us

I hope TM isn't naive enough to be banking on him coming here. Hopefully others are in the pipeline, but no evidence shown as of yet.

Huge week IMO this week, can make or break our season.

As I said if you calculate six months loan from this week that will take us into February. Why use pre-season to familiarise themselves? We need them playing competitive matches not practice ones and use the salaries wisely.

You clearly never saw him play.

Samuel was a great player for us last season. I went to the game today and I don't think Samuel would have made any difference today sadly. We need more help form midfield

Tony didn't say he didn't have pace he said he was not as quick as Wilson, i agree.. I don't think Samuel is in the same league as Wilson as the whole package,, but would certainly be good enough to improve our squad at the minute..

I think it would be great if we got Samuel, Im sure he is waiting for a player he really wants not just a
kid on loan. a good striker.

At the SCG on Thursday SW was asked directly about Samuel. We were told that if Reading brought in two forwards he could come here on loan, apparently they have signed one so far.

I want a reduction on my season/ticket if we are not starting the season until Oct (TM quoting players wont be in by first game) then they will leave at exmas I guess. All change again season part two. Still we can have all these posts again. great being a cov fan. Must be boring having a settled side .
