Does Thorn look at SBT? (1 Viewer)

In a recent interview, Thorn has commented on a lot of things such as people talking about him losing his job and unrest in the dressing room.

Both of these subject have gone in to great detail on this forum and I just thought that Andy may have looked at it maybe just that once, or maybe a few times.

If he has he'll be able to deduce the possibility it came from carsley,if they do one with thorn ,which i'm not suggesting ,but if things don't improve before Xmas the clamour will be inevitable ,thats the kind of replacement you can expect.just who did start it and who does it suit

Would'nt dissagree there kings, but At deserves a fair crack at it first, be interesting whether this new takeover stuff comes to fruition, whether they allow him to spend the dosh ,or feel the need for a fresh face.i would'nt mind doing a little deal with forrest tommorrow and take David Kelly from their coaching staff, thats two changes of gaffer for him now.

the observer this week has made a big thing about sticking with Andy, with Chris Kamara chipping in,almost making out there was a groundswell of opinion turning against him,i don't know what thats based on ,but on here we've probably had three or four questioning tactics and preperation for opposition, its hardly calling for his head is it.

Yeah sorry - i should clarify. I don't want AT to go, just saying Carsley has made a good start. I just get a feeling he'd be a decent manager.

and of course - rioch needs to been given the praise he deserves for what he's done.

He can't read this or by now OSB would be on the board as an advisor, I would be first team coach and Ian from CWR would be giving half-time motivational teamtalks.

Very much doubt he reads this. His reaction was based on suddenly getting a load of phone calls asking if he'd resigned.

Having heard AT interviewed on this, I'm sure the speculation is complete and utter bollocks. Not doubting the authenticity of posters here, they're just passing on what they've been told (and maybe it fits their views to some extent). And anyway I think Twitter and Mercia are more his target than this forum! There is always gossip like this in football, and 99.9% of it is utter nonsense. If you believed what you heard in the Gould era, Rosario had shagged half the squads' wives :p

I'll believe AT over "what someone says their mate heard" anytime. More to the point, the tone in his voice is nothing other than authentic. I don't thing he really does spin, y'know? An honest down to earth bloke who's pissed off that such a load of drivel even made an impact. We are bloody lucky to have such a bloke in charge. I haven't heard a City manager speak so much sense since Snozz.

I too like Andy Thorn's approach and attempted style of play but to coin an old worn out football phrase this is a results business and if we don't start winning more and soon AT'S position will come into question. Sometimes though I do wonder if he really wants to be manager long term, just a feeling I get.
As for Carsley he for definite is after a managers job and has said so publically, so why come back and take over an academy team ? makes you wonder.

Im sticking with andy thorn on this thers 2 sides to the coin and hes got the bad one where 3 good players left that could make a difference in the team we saw that near the end of the season, yes were struggling but if it was the other side of the coin and was given money to spend and strenghten i feel it be a different story, lets not forget he found alot of our past good players i feel if those tight arse pricks sisu actually gave him even 2 mill to spend AT would strenghten the squad hes not been given any backing so until i see him spend money on transfers and see us doing rubbish then ill judge.

One of the reasons CCFC ended up nearly financially bankrupt was spending money we didn't have... thanks to Robinson and Richardson.

I think Thorn has shown respect for the financial perils of our past and understands the importance of Coventry City existing long after he has gone.

He is probably all too aware of the forums - AB allegedly had the pages printed off for him every day.
