He looks interesting. Although Maltese football isn't all that, on the Youtube clips, he seems to score a lot with his left foot, but took a pen with his right. Also seems useful in the air (in terms of finishing). TM knows him from WBA as well. Also - cheap as chips I would have thought.

Available for free. Maltese football is the equivalent of our non league. But he is scoring goals at least. And Stokes isn't doing that bad.

If we sign him up, he's going to be the easiest ones ever to guess what song and tune is with the last part of his double barrelled surname :laugh::laugh:

and when you get to games where they dont work like say Saturday at Walsall then what Sherlock? , if we don't have options we will be found out early and shut down fast
So Walsall was because our squad is small?

Bit of an odd one. His record isn't great and it seems he picked up a fairly major injury just as he was breaking through. He would have been in the West Brom youth team when TM was there so hopefully he's here because TM knows what he is like and believes he can perform at this level.

Before we have a meltdown. Mowbray did say he would be bringing in trialists regularly to pad put the numbers in the U21 squad as he wants to keep the main squad quite a tight group.

There's a good chance he has no intension in signing him.

Mifsud scored 28 in 47 appearances for Valetta from 2011-13, Elford-Alliyu scored 16 in 35 appearances for Valetta last year.

Just for comparison - don't know if you can draw any conclusions from this.

Not for me. although still young at 23 he seems to have made a career of not impressing lower league clubs (and non league). He is also another small centre forward would love a bit of height. Comparisons to Miffy I can understand but Miffy had played in German and Norwegian leagues before coming here, this lad is no Miffy.

And "Miffy" also turned into a greedy bastard who soon fell out of the leagues altogether. Not sure if "Miffy" is such a shining light. If he signs, give him a chance.

Isn't the point of a forum to discuss potential new signings rather than adopt the mantra"support the player if he signs", his record to date is shambolic reminds me a bit of Josh McQuoid lots of clubs 1 decent season but mostly very few goals. Personally i'd prefer to take a gamble on a 19/ 20 year old who isn't cutting it at a Premier League club rather than a mid 20s player who Bury Tamworth & crawley didn't fancy.

Haven't seen him play but doubt he could ever give us the pleasure Miffy gave us, as greedy as he was they were good times and in the 14 seasons since relegation Old Trafford was probably the highlight.
