He has been called up to England U19s. What was always going to be a hard trip to an inform Burton is made even harder!

Now Maddison's injured ... we are in trouble enough without losing our second best player too ... don't get much luck do we ! ;o)

Hopefully he'll get injured against Southend and be out for a few months - that'll mess up Boothroyd's plans!

We're too big for Burton anyway so we should just turn up and watch them hand over the points to a MASSIVE CLUB. #LeagueOneTour2012 #illuminati #onionrings

I'm all for people representing their country, but surely England's baby squad can't take priority over a Football League match?! Can't we pull him out?

Benin have a game on 3rd September, is Reda going to miss any City matches?

Surely Tudgay should play as the supposed senior striker. I would have thought that part of the deal to bring Armstrong here would be that his England education continues, he has led the line at all age groups after all. If we are winning well against Southend, I'd take Armstrong off after 60 and give Tudgay some much needed competitive game time.

When you are lower League scrotes like us and don't own our players then we are at the mercy of all sorts of conditions and call ups over a season.

It would be the same if we owned him to be fair.

Bit of a blow this but hopefully we'll cope.

If Maddison had been fit he would have been called up as well methinks!

When you have Internationals this happens, it effects lots of teams. What is wrong with playing Tudgay? It will be good for him to have a game and keep match fit.

I just can't believe SISU have made Boothroyd pick him, bloody SISU. They would've had him pick all the English lads in our team if they had a choice. BLOODY SISU!!!!

We should demand that the game is called off. We've had three players called up which is the requirement for a postponement. Of course the game will go ahead because it's on TV and we'll probably lose but oh well.

facing all this on field adversity so early in season may be a good thing, imagine if we come out of next 2 games with 4 pts or more, the squad will be buzzing knowing that they can still win without maddison and armstrong(and maybe reda)

Joy is taking the piss out of the fans even more. Not only did she move us 34 miles, now look what she has done. Why didn't we sign him rather than loaning him? Typical Sisu.

I'm off to watch The Wasps now.

He will need 5 times as many chances to score 1 goal sadly. Lacks pace and will make it all too easy for their defense to push up.

Wasnt the case at Rochdale when he scored two very good goals, you must have missed it, it was a shame the linesman couldn't keep up with play.

Of course he has diferent attributes to Armstrong, but still a decent player to bring in. No two players are identical, you need to be less pessimistic.
