Wasn't there something about a city supporter taking the piss out of Kilbane's disabled child? Obviously when he had a go back Kilbane was vilified as well for daring to defend his family.

Typical football fans who act all big and then cry like a baby when someone dares say something back to them.

Wankers

That was fucking disgraceful. Made me ashamed to be a City fan.

Contrary to the moronic views of football fans, anyone who has played professionally is good at football. It is either a confidence problem or a temporary dip in form when they look "shit". Was glad to see Doyle and Sheff go as I was sick to death of reading threads about both of them

Yep. It seems the modern football fan is fed on a brand of Barcelona Ticka-tacka champions league football think that every player has to be able to dribble past 10 players, hit 50 yard passes with the outside of their boot and scored 30 yard screamers every week to be a foot footballer.

I thought Butcher got some decent players in at Coventry, he just couldn't manage them. He was a bit big headed too.

What happened in the bar?

His brother was walking around the bar in the M&B stand asking fans what they thought of Craig, and I remember loads shouting he's fucking shit, to which his brother tried hitting a fan and got dropped to the floor, all to a giant round of applause and laughing.

There's many players I have been glad to see go, predominantly more recently when since Strachans end days, through to our current lowly position, we have signed a significant stream of shite.

What I personally detest though are those players who bad mouth the Club, fans, City etc after leaving, as there is no need particularly to us the fans whose hard earned money keeps the players wages flowing and the club going.

A few of these detestable pricks include Ashley Grimes, who bad mouthed the club and then danced on the pitch with Les Sealy after Luton beat us 1-0 in a league game, the detestable twat, Craig Bellamy (enough said), Kevin Drinkell the usless huge lump of turd, and the one I particularly detest is Mark Hateley, who after the club brought him through the ranks, gave him his chance and brought him onto England Under 21 level, promptly shat on the club and the fans when he left and bad mouthed us....Prick.

He showed himself a decent judge of a player - Atherton was a damned fine replacement for Peake really, Furlong's later career showed he had something, Robson was supreme in centre midfield... even Sean Flynn had a half decent career really, and could have maybe done us a job when Atkinson came in if he'd been allowed to.

Problem was, Furlong really needed a year being backup to Regis and being taught how to do it, Peake was still worth having around to mentor Atherton too... but as said before, because the original plan was for those two to succeed Sillett (what possessed Poynton to suddenly abandon the long term after it had all gone pretty well overall?!?) then they were shown the door post-haste.

Maybe with a bit of patience and a more sympathetic style, Butcher could indeed have taken us on. His managerial career since us hardly suggests we missed out, however!

While I generally agree. I'll stick up for Drinkell in that we were the utter disaster in a career where he otherwise scored goals for fun, so he must have felt more frustration at his spell here than most!

Julian Gray. My cousin played right back for Coventry Sphinx when they faced CCFC in a pre-season friendly. Gray was furious because he was being out-paced and marked out of the game by a "f*cking ginger nobody".

Others:
- David Bell
- Freddie Eastwood
- McIndoe
- All of the god awful loanees we had during the Pressley era

Thats a fair point.

Its just he was as mobile as a tub of lard, and bad mouthed us afterwards...perhaps he would have been more successfull if he had accelerated above 1mph in a game! ;)
