Does the line still work up to pro logis? I know there are loads of train lines but theres no level crossing now I don't think?

The line still exists but hasn't been used for a while. The level crossing with Wheelwright Lane is still there and, presumably, could be used without a great deal of updating. The far end of the branch line spreads out to 6 lines so stashing empty trains on a football/rugby match day wouldn't be a problem if that was a viable option some time in the future. At the moment, the line remains totally unused as the company/companies that used the branch to transport their goods, has either moved or found road a better option....shame.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the government shelved/postponed the Sheffield to Southampton electrification a couple of months ago ? It was put up as a means to shift goods more efficiently rather than to introduce better passenger routes.

I would guess their killing two birds with one stone. The electrification of the line does help the KNUCKLE even if that wasn't its purpose. I understand that a half hourly service apart from the KNUCKLE is/was due to run on that line, another shift around Birmingham.

There is though a huge difference between shelved and postponed. Got any documents to enlighten me?

Ah, I drive past there most days but must have become blind to the crossing. Are the gates still there that come down to stop the traffic or do they use the lights?
