Mowbray's Blank Canvas (13 Viewers)

TM was in a good position really with almost a blank canvas to work on in the summer, loads on here (surprise, surprise) got impatient and belly ached about the lack of signings etc, etc, first signings, the most important imo brought in experienced defenders, and midfield with Vincelot then slowly but surely added youth and quality from Adam Armstrong to this Ryan Kent as he said he would, don't think any of the signings were known about or rumoured but he just quietly got on with his job and imo has formulated a pretty good side with options now and i am certain will have us at the top end of the league all season. I wonder and excited as to who is next to come in and certain they will be quality. What a difference from that so-called football manager we had last season and here's hoping he puts another ex city boss to the sword Saturday.

he also said we wont worry too much about the first 6 games - it is the next 40 that are important
so if we are 2nd without him really worrying about it . surely we should improve now :)

People were panicing. What he's done is exactly what he said he would do. Take his time and make sure he got the right people in rather than rushing and signing the first available player.

If Mowbray had a blank canvas, then Mark Robins is going to have a face like a painter's radio by the time Big Tony is done with him!

Highsight is 20/20 some fans were rightly worried about the starting squad and depth and to be honest i still think we could do with more experienced in depth.. We have had plenty of managers who have promised onething or another and probably believe it when they say it,, none have had the upper hand with the owners to deliver,, until now.. They had to give in to TM, he has by now got complete confidence in the owners to demand and get what he request TM hold's the key and right now is making all the right turns.

And remember our fans have the right to be frustrated, impulsive and impatient, we have been let down so badly in the past its hard to believe we as a club are moving in the right direction..So be right today mock even gloat,, but plenty of games to go and plenty of twist's and turns yet to come,, i hope like every fan out there its our time again with the right manager at the helm.. Remember TM has been top of leagues twice at Christmas and failed to even get into play offs,, he knows and thats why he will be level throughout the season win, lose or draw his experience now tell him to manage expectation of all around him..

Funny thing is , we faced burton saturday with 7 of last seasons starting 11 .
proves that A. Mowbray is getting the best from certain individuals B. You don't always need a drastic squad overhaul to achieve what you want .
he has been patient , i can't think of a bad signing ATM , and i believe if mowbray can't do it here then the reality is probably nobody can under the current regime .
in mowbray we trust

Exactly, instead of being a smug twat lets just enjoy being good for once instead of trying to get one over on other fans.

i think its because previous pre seasons thats why ha, were just uised to a pre season trend and just flops but hes finally given us something to look forward to a manager we can trust and know he will do right.

Don't forget that most of these exciting additions are loanees and wont be here at the end of the season.
