To all those fans who read this Forum but still can't bring themselves to get to a game, based on principle, their feelings about our owners, Wasps, past performances whatever, all I can say is you don't know what you're missing!

Today I'm a proud fan of a football club with a fantastic manager, and a team which is playing the most exciting and adventurous football I've seen in years. They are producing the quality football we've been crying out for. So now we have it, there's just one thing remaining to get us back where we belong, which right now is the Championship....support! So get down to the Ricoh, put any thoughts of sisu on the back burner, and come and join the party!!!

Well said, that man. Saturday was worth every penny. The best manager we have had in decades and 100% commitment from the players who are playing exciting, attacking football.

The pace of Murphy and the pace/technical excellence of Kent and Armstrong is an absolute joy to behold. Sometime very very soon we will absolutely batter someone playing like that.

One of the best teams in the league playing positive attacking football, likely to win rather than lose, relatively cheap, atmosphere's the best it's been for years, 4th in the league and 2 points off top. Why not attend and enjoy it?

Hopefully it will be Bury on Saturday. They "allegedly" have a dodgy defence.

I am planning my first trip down from Scotland hopefully for Blackpool or Peterborough/Barnsley and I can't wait to see how exciting this team is. It's times like this I wish I still lived in the Midlands!! PUSB

Spot on, Standup. Four home games; four brilliant atmospheres, excitement, shots galore and some fantastic goals. We now have all the ingredients that many on here were bemoaning. Time to get up there and support.

We played some exciting attacking football on Saturday, Murphy ran their full backs ragged, with a little more composure in front of goal it could easily have been four or five.
We fought for every ball, what more can you want?

The whole team playing some great football... A real delight to watch. Burge trying some quick throw outs but a little suspect with high balls. Defence doing ok but are likely to concede most games I think. Midfield strong in defence and creative in attack. Forward play exciting and frighteningly quick. We wasted a hatful of chances Saturday but served up great entertainment. We have a manager who has got the young lads and old lags experimenting, playing creative football and most importantly playing for each other. We have a crowd that is beginning to believe again and applauding intelligent play even when it doesn't come off. Even when we drew with Southend we could have won (or indeed lost) with many goal opportunities missed.
I can't remember the last time the quality of ccfc attacking football has been so high and like a previous poster I think a few big scores will come our way this season.

My only regret this season, and it is a personal and selfish one, is that my father passed away last year (following ccfc every home game since 1940s and season ticket holder apart from sixfields for 49years) and he isn't here enjoying such entertaining play. My son said on Saturday when Armstrong blazed over that grandad would be shouting "get over the ball" but would be up "on his feet with the delightful through balls, speed of thought and movement and inspirational passing." He had been disillusioned like many of us for the last few years and had bemoaned the lack of invention and lack of edge of your seat entertainment we kept serving up. He used to jog back to car park C after a good game. This year if he had still been with us he would be sprinting after each full time whistle

Made me smile, I'm sure he is there with you at every game! Don't you worry about that!

I would say the most entertaining football Since Eric Black.

I dont think we will get top 6 this year but for the 1st time in years you can see what the manager is working towards. I think we are still a couple of players short from a serious promotion push but if enough supporters get their backside up it may persuade SISU to release the purse strings a bit and then that could be the difference.

they got 5 ex city players so will probably do a Scunthorpe on us as the manager will play all 5

They must have improved from when they were on the TV a few weeks ago then or has league 2 Football always been such dross?

Haven't been to a game for years mostly because I don't live local anymore. Have subscribed to SBW though again so I guess I've a little faith now. Hope what you all are saying is right

Couldn't agree more with this thread. I have absolutely hated going up to the Ricoh in recent years. The walk back to the car has been me moaning non stop about how I cant believe anyway still goes on a weekly basis. Ive been to three home games this season and thoroughly enjoyed all three. The club need to do everything they can to attract supporters at the minute. Anyone going up once will be tempted to go back.

League 2? Follow the city closely then?!

Tbh I quite like the Ricoh around 11-13k attendance of loyal support. Not too busy in the casino before/after the game and a positive atmosphere even when things don't come off. If you're going to come and upset the positive vibes right now, don't bother

Don't recall saying I was going to a game but if you're happy about the club living below the break even figure just so you don't have to wait so long for a beer at the bar then hey ho

Break even mark is 11k pal.
That is what they were hoping for and that is what they are getting.
So bonus.
Oh and just look at MK Dons and QPR to see what promotion and religion do for attendances.

I know Baker has an inflated status amongst City fans but don't think MK have found god

Actually all gone a bit silent on the Bakesianity front. Is he top scorer in the championship yet?
