Spoke to a mate who is a Newcastle fan and according to him Mark Douglas who works for the Chronicle paper in Newcastle and has close ties to the football club said Arma's going nowhere at the moment and will be allowed to staying on at cov to further develop his game. Hopefully this is true and we dont wake up tomorrow to the news he is back up north!

Lost at home to Sheff Weds

No goals tonight, pressure mounting..... No panic recall please!

I can see McLarens tenure being short, another manager brought in, who will want their own players probably seasoned pro's to fight a relegation battle, not 18 year olds out on loan getting experience.

This would mean Armstrong staying put...well thats my wishfull thinking anyway.

Agree but if we weren't scoring in the relegation zone & say George Thomas was in the conference scoring for fun we would want to take the gamble.

True but I think although two league difference on both the gap between the prem and here is massive look at Southampton and the franchise side tonight.

Agree knew the gap would be pointed out but fans being fans of a struggling club see goals by one of their players elsewhere as a mirage that they'll flow immediately if they came back!

Hope we don't find out, if they can limp along until January they might buy a striker then which will put him further down.

OK.. So which one of you on here named Kevin left this comment on that article:

"He's really really crap, let them have him. League one level at best.
Infact sell him to them for £2.50 and a stick of rhubarb.
Shouldn't wear the famous black and white stripes ever again.
Kevin Willis from Coventry
"

Funny:)

Mowbray and the Sky Blues are targeting promotion from League Two this season and they currently occupy a play-off place, thanks largely to Armstrong’s goals.

That would be quite an achievement since we are currently in League 1.
