M-O-M. Fortune by a mile, laid 2 goals on and scored the penalty going to be a very important player for a promotion push followed by Aaron Martin, has to be our most improved player. Covers Johnson's runs superbly. Another top team performance need to repeat this away from home though starting at Yeovil,

Another great thing about MAF is did you see thr guy marking him? He was gigantic
Even bigger than reda

Think we will see MAF more physcially dominant in air against smaller cbs than he had to face today. Bodes well!

Thr agenda is clear

There is no agenda. Oh and as for being a fan I think you'll find I will go to a televised game - not sit on my arse at home.

Most of us are happy. Always gonna be some dissapointed

Fleetwood and blackpool.next. would take 4 pts now but 6 is definitely on!

Murphy was pretty poor first half. Think it was just 1 of those days where nothing going right for him be it a pass or a touch

Still 2nd half improved with some good dribbling runs

Brilliant result today and sounds like we were good plus a bit of luck. Those who went had a lot more fun than my day at work. Off to the pub for a celebratory pint or three. :)

Great game, great atmosphere. Entertaining and a decent performance but not perfect.

Only slight negative for me was the attendance. Not expecting 15K to suddenly turn up but we're not getting an increase at all despite being unbeaten at home, cheap tickets and decent weather for the time of year.

Twice coming off a loss. Call it fickle call it once bitten twice shy, but it'll take a while before City fans' first reaction to a loss isn't "ahh fuck it we're shit again". Classic fear of failure behaviour (according to a book I'm reading)

Just got in now and I think if we would have let them carry on playing, Shrewsbury still wouldn't have been able to score. It was such a weird game & atmosphere first half, I can't quite put my finger on why. It was a shocking first half, even with the chances we had. The amount of passes that went astray, lack of runners, wrong balls but there wasn't any negativity from the crowd. I can see how we've struggled against other teams in the first half then battled back in the second (if the team we were playing had actually shown up I think it would have been more difficult).

Average atmosphere, average performance, average attendance = highly enjoyable day, great 3 points, AA was pure class.

Had Armstrong 1st goal scorer with Cov to win 3-1. Fucking solid defence wankers.

Will he ever get a treble

He was supposed to take the penalty as the designated person but Fortune intervened.

Adam Armstrong is the real deal, first time I have watched him live. Lightning pace, great touch, excellent eye for goal. What a player. I can't remember seeing so much pace in the City side since the Premiership days. Thought Rickets was excellent, dealt with the Shrews tricky left winger well. Fortune wasn't great for the opening 10-15 mins, but then he came into his own. Will be an important player this season. I am worried about the Armstrong situation though. Do we have him until January no matter what? Or can Newcastle call him back before January?
