Just back - disappointing night but in the big scheme of things not a big deal. A win on Saturday and this match will be long forgotten.

Thought we controlled the first half but completely lost our way in the 2nd.

How Conor Thomas gets near the first team squad is beyond me. Absolutely dreadful. Aaron Phillips also looked completely out of his depth.

Nice to see Lawton make his debut. RCC was solid again, made two excellent stops on the 2nd half, and the 2 centre halves were untroubled all night.

I hope Fortune is fit for Saturday otherwise I worry where the goals will come from.

Personally I'd disagree but we'll never find out. Every club tickets for JPT are 5\10 though, not like everyone else charges full price

I know of 5-6 people who went that night that aren't even cov fans and had never been to the Ricoh who went because it was a 'final' and was a £5, they'd have never of gone if it was £20. At the end of the day it was a tinpot cup game against a fellow league one team, and I say that as someone that attended every home JPT fixture.

And to replace them would have been people searching for tickets on this forum and before the game who didn't get a ticket

I've never felt so depressed since we lost a game once in the Zenith Data Systems Cup,

Black armband at work tomorrow.

I'd agree with taking a draw, inconsistent away form and missing players.

Putting it in perspective, Yeovil are struggling in the division below us, they had 10 missing players, and still we couldn't beat them.

3 away games in the next 4 games too. If you are going by current form, that's 4 points out of a possible 12. Draw at Fleetwood, win v Blackpool and losses v Swindon and Rochdale which would see us ending up in the bottom half.

Disappointed. Like cup football and we don't have a prayer in the other 2, also concerned that we are again heavily reliant on 1 player

I seriously couldn't give a toss. It ranks 11th on my list of 10 priorities for the season.

Well many of us gave a toss by going last night. Got home at half 1 and in work for 7. We wanted a cup run. Great turnout by the SBA and plenty of noise by the sky blue boys. So just cos you couldn't give a toss, plenty of us did!!!

Its only another money spinner we have lost out to, when will people realize? and players.

As much as I would like us to win everything, we wont.

The JPT is only a money spinner if we get to the regional final, as I dont seem to recall any other full houses prior to our regional finall apperarance a few seasons ago.

What could be a money spinner, is a good promotion campaign this season, as if we are there or thereabouts by the end of the season we should hopefully have seen a good upturn in crowds as people ralise we are actually doing well and are consistent, rather than letting the fans down as we normally do.
Promotion itself would also bring financail benefits.

Bit gutted given it was penalties and tudguy missed some sitters. Just another game where we should have won but didn't. Onwards and upwards, we beat fleetwood and the sky turns blue again

Just wish we had Armstrong back for Saturday.

As it stands I would go for the following;

-------Charles-Cook

Ricketts, Martin, Reda, Stokes

JOB, Fleck, Vincelot, Murphy

------ Lameiras

------- Fortune

Plenty of noise? We barely sang a song until just before the shoot-out! It was a good turn-out though for a Mickey Mouse match midweek which most of you travelled 3-4 hours each way for.

What about our Simod cup semi final defeat to Reading in 1988?

I was there too. Gutted we missed out that night. If I recall though our penalties were pretty dreadful weren't they? I seem to remember us missing 2 at least.

I was there last night,The tie should have been all over by halftime really Tudgay should of had a hatrick.
Fleck was outstanding again too
Lots of shots wasted over the bar in the second half all in all a missed opportunity but that's football.
Onwards and upwards for our tasty fixture on Saturday.
Good turn out for a Tuesday night in deepest Somerset too!!!
