Rochdale's 19,000 tickets and the pie money vastly outweighs our 60,000 tickets sold and a share of matchday revenue.

Parachute payments, possible weakness In our commercial Incomes.
One or two wealthier owners Injecting revenue, even Bury with their share Issue may outstanding us, I think we've. got good value for money though
Oh and and our tickets are cheaper than some of the others.
I heard early on the overall budget was £4m this season, If that were true we're limiting to 50%,,maybe the other 10%has gone on paint and tarmac, pay offs,Venus role and scouting.

because Rochdale with their 3k average gate will get all the pie money from their ground.

If that takes them above us they must be fookin good pies.

Plus the expenses, I doubt many clubs in our league have a Cat B academy there's 1/8th of our budget gone.

All of that is in out gift though. Obviously we feel it's worth the expense.

I think Mowbray proved £2m or so is a reasonable budget in this league. If we pull in 11k for 23 games at an average of £10 a head, that's the playing budget paid for by ticket receipts. Then it's up to the club to maximise other revenue and make sure it is well spent.

Just saying that I think it's a solid footing. Obviously next step is ownership of more revenue streams but it's all gone a bit quiet there.

Yeah that's a point. I've. Made a few times Stu, It's not popular when I raise It but at this level Its a big expense.
You'd. Have to say TM as opposed. To SP has taken a different tack bringing In higher level young loans than we produce ourselves, whereas. swap all for bringing them through ready or not, good enough or not.
That may have been a dictate from above to generate funds like Wilson, possibly Madding..
So I think TM has really made a shift away from that approach.
The question I would ask Is, would Wilson, Maddison or whoever not have come through the ranks here without cat2?

Would they have been here at all? Lower league football and a good academy is an enticing prospect for a kid looking to get first team football.

I think you've got to say that over a period of time the academy pays for itself surely? Even if in recent years the profit has been plowed into running the club.

Strange that so many are so dismissive of the club receiving generated revenue. I wonder why other clubs across the world haven't followed our example?

Not dismissive just others make out it is make or break.
We have the lowest cost this season for putting on a game.
most clubs would love to pay out only 100,000 for a whole season.
come on we were all crying when the price was over a million.
so one out wieghs the other.

Don't lie. It's because we all love the council. There couldn't possibly be any other explanation ;)

A budget is not just based on income, it's also based on expenses.

Depends what he means. The SCMP budget is based on income only. The actual playing budget is set by Sisu according to operational objectives.
