If he was above league one, he would have earned a contract at the couple of trials he's been on.

Wouldn't really say Eagles is either tbh, wasn't his last team Blackpool?

Not that I'm trying to put him down but he clearly isn't above league 1 level either based on the last 2 years of his career.

Why are you letting reason get in the way?!! I am just waiting to see if someone claims we will do a Southampton or Leicester next year in the Championship.

I think more like a manchester city (albeit when we get there we will do better in the Champions league)

Don't we need to get promoted before we can say that?

And by saying anything good about our clubs future all you get is grief. Like those of us that said we had faith in TM to put a decent squad together when we were not making signings and other clubs were. Or those of us that said we were confident of a top 6 finish minimum. And those that give the grief never admit to being wrong when it looks that way. But if anyone who makes predictions is wrong they never hear the end of it.

To be fair people where saying that straight after relegation and before a ball had been kicked in league one.

How could they have said so when Southampton still had to do it when we got relegated :D

Chief Commentator!
As long as his demands are unreasonable (hopefully he hasn't got a dodgy agent who will ask for the earth), I'd like to see him given a shot, on the condition his fitness is up to scratch, which I guess why we've taken him on trial first. Too many times we've signed players on the hope they will gain the fitness levels needed to Amy h the others within the team, and too many have failed, leaving us to carry players, or end up paying them off when 'it doesn't work out'

So Eagles is the New kid in town.....good stuff.

....but lets not get too excited.....in fact, lets take it easy.

hope hes not come to us as a last resort.

Maybe while hes training with us, Skyblueweeman can book him into the hotel california

Awful song name dropping but you've gained a like by shoe-horning me in!

I'm wrong all the time, but at least I admit it :)

Bar the team stay stuff...that's where I serve my purpose in life!

It'll be interesting to see how this works out for Eagles, TM, MV and Cov. Quite intrigued by this signing.

I think this would've been one of those signings that if we saw Burton or Walsall or someone like that signing him, we would've been like 'f*&k, they mean business for the Top 6 this season'. Hopefully teams are starting to take notice of us now.

TM likes to bring skilful players on for the last 20 minutes to terrorise tired defences. I see Eagles excelling in this role.

Nope sorry don't know why everyone is acting like TM is anything special... Did you see our pre season friendlies?? Right mess. And what's new now? An 18 year old loanee?

Do you mean the pre season where we were still waiting for players to come in and trying different formations?

Or you could be right and we are 5th, 3 points and two goals away from 1st with a game in hand whilst 4 points and 9 goals above 7th with that same game in hand because of one player although he is not an ever present in the side and losing Madders so early in the season has made no difference because TM isn't a decent manager?

We had better sack TM now then and bring in a decent manager :D

Whats new now???? RCC against Shrewsbury feeding his long distribution balls to MAF with precision..... Kent working his way behind defences....
Arma scoring at almost leisure...
Rickets and Reda forming a really tough to crack defense....do you ever attend games Huckerby??????

This has Simeon Jackson all over it. Was a good player in the league above, his pace went and so did 70% of his game. Would steer clear of this.

Maybe he would prefer us to keep the ball in our own half most of the game and not have any shots on target because the manager kept telling us we played well :D

I would prefer to wait and see before making any rash decisions. We haven't signed him yet. I trust TM to make the right decision. He doesn't seem to have done badly with a small budget so far.

Too much detail to be an obvious sarcastic quote. Exactly what has been said several times by those trying to say he isn't a good manager.

He's only 29, why would his pace go? He should be at his peak unless drugs or drink have done him in. In any case, pace is overrated, its the ball that should be travelling fast, not the players.

He ain't signed yet ! I think he will though maybe even for the Blackpool game you never know but the good thing if true and it happens TM has recognised something that needs addressing and that's goals from the midfield area, nowhere near enough at the moment.

Yes exactly, and I was mocking that. Seriously the "18 year old loanee" comment didn't turn the light on? Catch of the day I reckon

Hopefully he's a player we can get the best out of because on his day he's class. I do worry why no other club has already signed him but I trust TM so if Eagles signs I hope he can perform as we know he can do

I love it when (relative) youngsters with no understanding of how one ages make comments like 'he has lost his pace'.
