So freeing up the ground for its future use as the home of an nfl franchise
Isn't that going to White Hart Lane?
I really doubt an NFL London franchise will ever materialise.

Either way, I doubt Wembley will be in the NFL's long term plans. Too much of an issue with revenue from the corporate side which is where most NFL teams make their money, with the Club Wembley situation its hard for NFL teams to maximse on this, WHL will be built with NFL in mind with better corporate options, dedicated changing rooms for larger squads and a retractable pitch, so NFL teams can play on the artificial surface without the disturbance for the football team.
Although the NFL are happy with the income from Wembley games, they have been actively pursuing alternative options for a number of years, its not ideal for the sport and it seems a big portion of the cost of the build for WHL has been funded by the NFL. Once this is built I dont think we will see NFL at Wembley any more.
And although the franchise question has been mooted for many years, I really think there are too many stumbling blocks for a regular team in England to be facing American teams.

So what you're saying is without the pie money the numbers don't add up

I dont mind moving the games for friendlies but i think 'real' games need to be played at Wembley. I understand the geography is a bitch but there is nothing like having a day out at wembley.

Fair commentWith England being top seeds in qualifying surely the 'big' teams only play on English soil in friendlies?
This is the issue though, take the two in Manchester and maybe Newcastle there really isn't a ground large enough to cater for it unless they are happy with 35-40kCan't wait to see games played away from the place. It's dismal at times. A lot of ESTC members only go to get the caps. Some just walk in and straight out if they can't find anyone to scan/use (for free) their ticket. No doubt we'll end up playing at Old Trafford. No other ground is close to being big enough.

Surely they won't touch Emirates? Might as well stay at Wembley!Imagine it will be St James, Anfield, Old Trafford and / or Emirates and Villa Park for the bigger games and then the smaller friendlies going to smaller grounds. Ricoh will probably lose out by being too close to Villa Park.
