Morris recalled (4 Viewers)

Not getting enough game time I suspect?
Exactly that. Would we be happy if George Thomas just sat on Yeovil's bench and hardly ever got a game?

All clubs send their players out like this to gain experience. Looks like there are no hard feelings at all here, which is nice.

was not very impressed at rochdale last week ,i know its only one game. i suspect defensive cover will replace him also i wonder if this signals that joe cole may be here for a bit longer

of all the loans to lose this is most ideal

only saw a bit of him, didnt strike me as much better than connor thomas so lets move on

frees up loan spot and wages for more players too

Not surprised, could have became useful later on in the campaign but I can't imagine Middlesbrough were happy with him sitting on the bench.

Yes he is going to a league 2 club most likely where certain to start. He wasn't great for us although never given a fair crack. But I'm not too disappointed and mowbray will have this covered rest assured.

It was an odd signing, good luck to him.

Be nice if we can now get someone in who is not forever away on international duty too.

He wasn't too impressive. Need to bring one of our own young midfielders in instead of playing them in the 21s with the 17 year olds.

If we are using loan players they have to be significantly better than our own.

Can understand why he's gone back and only saw him in a few cameos as i missed Rochdale and he didn't look anything special. It's great it creates a space for a new CB to come in but is CM cover now not a concern? If Fleck or Vincelot get injured/suspended we have just Thomas as CDM cover (unless I'm forgetting someone?) and a loan will be the same for any player, the parent club will get fed up of them not having regular game time (unless injuries) as I can't see us signing someone to replace either Fleck or Vincelot in the starting XI?

Wasn't getting much game time and unless there was an injury I can't see that changing. That now means we can bring in a loan to replace Reda without having to worry about leaving someone out of the matchday squad.

Not good enough. Good luck to him.

Maybe it was a telephone call from TM that sealed his fate and as has been said it opens for another loanee to come in more than likely a CB but would be nice to get a goal machine in ... take some of the pressure off Armo

A middlesborough fan says the Morris was massively underused by Coventry? Really? Should Mowbray have dropped Vincelot or fleck for the much superior Morris?

I can see their frustration, but massively underused?

Well he's captained England at every level from U16 to U19 so how bad can he be? What England internationals do we have?

Looks to me just a different way of saying he didn't play enough, which is true.

Fair enough. Wrong choice of words then, makes it sound like he should have been played more but wrongfully didn't. We don't think Jack finch has been underused this season, or Connor Thomas, or Ryan Haynes for that matter.

Personally I think there's a difference between the term "struggled to get game time " and "massively underused".

Would have to agree with that. He was massively underused I would say. We did the right thing in not picking him, because of what was ahead of him, and by the same token, Middlesborough have took him back because we weren't using him enough.

Doesn't make them particularly good either. Having seen Armstrong, Kent and Morris, I have no idea why Maddison has never been called up. Jordan Clarke, Jordan Willis and Connor Thomas have England caps.

Big difference between youth football and professional first team football.

Maddison is at the wrong club there are players in the under 21's are there because of the clubs they are owned by and will probably never play for the first team at their club and have no chance of playing for England.

Agreed. There will be plenty of the England U21's and below that will never have a PL career or even championship for that matter.

They are better off picking an under 21 from the championship or below who may have played 50 - 100 games against men than one who has been in the Prem teams youth team.

Note delle Ali nowhere near the England team at franchise straight in after a few games at Spurs it's all about the clubs name.

Chris Smalling (Fulham, but as soon as at ManU), Phil Jones (Blackburn, but as soon as at ManU)....

and see what has happened to Tom Cleverley, now that he's moved away from Man Utd. It really makes you wonder - I'll be honest, I'd never given this a lot of thought before (except when Steve Hunt didn't get picked for England - long time ago for you youngsters - but he was right up there at his peak), but a lot of very average players at the right clubs get picked without merit.
